Hidden Identity.
Chapter
ten
I woke up the next morning to someone
gently shaking me.
“Sofie, wake up. We have to get
going.” I opened my eyes to see Jake staring down
at me, freshly showered and everything.
“Ugh, what time is it? I don’t feel like I got any
sleep at all.” I groaned.
“Probably because you didn’t get much, it’s only
5.”
How was he not tired? How was already showered? He must have woken
up at 4:30.
“Gross.” I said, turning over to go back to
sleep. The mission could wait. How was I supposed to be good if I
didn’t get any sleep anyways?
“If you want to shower you have to get up now. Otherwise you
have to get up in fifteen minutes and you won’t be
showered.” I debated it for a few seconds before
rolling out of bed. Only fifteen more minutes and greasy hair
wasn’t worth it.
“Where’s the shower?”I mumbled. I could barely
function at 6 in the morning when I had gone to bed at a decent
time, let alone 5 when I had gotten like 3 hours of
sleep.
“Out to the door, to the right, and to the left again,
sleepyhead.” He lopsidedly grinned at
me.
“Thanks.”
I grabbed a towel out of the minuscule linen closet in the
bathroom. I quickly showered, not wasting any time. I shut the
water off and dried off. Then I remembered that I hadn’t
brought any close in with me. Actually I had no clean clothes with
me period.
I wrapped my towel around me and ran out the door and into my room
as fast as I could. I looked at my pile of dirty clothes. I really
didn’t feel like putting them back on.
“Jake?!” I yelled out, not really caring who
heard.
“Yeah?” he answered.
“Can you come here?” I checked to make sure that my
towel was securely wrapped around me.
“Okay..?” he sounded confused. He knocked on the door
and I let him come in.
“What do you want?” he asked, giving me a weird look
cause all I had on was a towel.
“What am I supposed to wear?”
“Clothes?” he said it like it was the most obvious
thing in the world. It kinda was, but I meant more along the lines of cause I
have dirty clothes, what am I supposed to wear. But I guess a small
minded person like him can’t figure that out on his
own.
“Well, mine are dirty. And seeing as I was kidnapped, I
didn’t get to grab any clothes to change
into.”
“Huh.” He said just staring at me like I
was some alien. I glanced down to make sure that my towel was still
covering everything.
“What?!” he was driving me crazy.
“Well I guess you could wear some of mine.” Guy clothes?
Really? Well I guess if it was really the only choice I
had…
“Okay, go get me some.” He returned a minute later
with a pair of running shorts and an extremely large
shirt.
“Thanks.” I said as he exited my room,
closing the door behind him.
I went to get dressed and realized something. I looked down at my
dirty clothes, that I had slept in, on top of wearing them the
whole day before. I needed underwear though. I quickly threw them
and my bra on and then the shorts and shirt Jake had given me on
over them. They were extremely large for me, but I didn’t
have anything else to wear.
“I’m ready!” I shouted walking out of my room
with nothing in hand, I didn’t have anything to bring, not
even my cell phone.
