Oblivious
Part 26
I woke up to a tear stained pillow and 9 new messages.
I scrolled through my phone looking at who the missed messages were from. 6 of them were from Bret,2 were from McKenna and the last was from Justin. I didn't bother looking at any of the messages from Bret. If he didn't care about me why should i care about him? right?
The text from Justin was him apologizing for all the things he had said last night. I wasn't ready to forgive him yet.
The texts from McKenna were about how she had heard what happened and she wanted me to call her,back as soon as i saw this.
I didn't bother calling her, i wasn't in the mood for talking to anybody.
I sighed and got out of bed, i slipped on some baggy sweat pants and a shirt 3-sizes to big. I clumsily made my way downstairs.
"Morning" stephanie smiled.
"heey" i said as i forced out a smile.
Just then my phone started vibrating. I looked down at the screen.
1 New Message From: Mallory.
She was asking me if i wanted to go to the mall with her.
Mallory and i use to be really close ,but we slowly drifted apart, we still talk but we're not as close as we were.
I felt ad saying no, i mean i haven't hung out with the girl since 8th soo i reluctantly said yes. At least it'll help me take my mind of bret.
I cringed, just saying his name made my heart ache even more than it already did.
I sighed and moped up the stairs to get ready.
I put on some ripped jeans and a grey cami. I brushed my fingers through my dirty blonde hair. I slipped on my gladiator shoes,grabbed my coach bag,phone and wallet and ran down stairs to wait for Mallory's sister to pick me up.

It felt weird not wearing heals. I never realized how much i wore them..
Two honks, indicated that Mallory was here. I got off the couch and headed towards the door.
"Im going to the mall with Mallory! BYE!" i screamed before slamming the door shut. I hopped in Mallory's sister's Bmw and greeted Mallory.
"I feel like i haven't seen you in forever!" Mallory squealed.
I forgot she was a squealer.
"i know right! we should hang out more often" i offered. Mallory went on and on about herself. Most of the time i just kept my head forward,zoning everything out and occasionally nodding as if i was actually listening to her. The only thing that broke my trance was a loud obnoxious honk coming from the side of the car i was sitting.
I whipped my head around so i was facing towards the window to see a huge SUV heading straight towards us.
I didn't even have time to scream before
everything went black.
