I
hung up the phone and went downstairs to grab my cars keys.
I got in my car and drove a few blocks over to Gage's
house. I pulled into his driveway, parked the car, then
knocked on his door with a smile on my face. I heard the
door unlatch and saw his face peek around the door.
"Hey, hun!" he greeted.
"It feels like it's been forever since I've
seen you," I replied.
"I know," he said as he kissed me.
"How long are your parents gone, Gage?" I
asked.
"Until tomorrow actually. They won't be home until
tomorrow morning."
"Really? My parents are coming back around 9:00
tonight so I just have to be back before then. They think
that I'm still at home. I wish they'd just accept
our relationship. They can't keep controlling us
anymore. I mean, we're almost adults! We're 17, not
7."
"I know! It's almost our two year anniversary. You
would've thought that they'd be okay with things by
now. I'm not giving in to them," he told me.
"Neither am I, trust me," I said as I leaned in
to kiss him.
He pulled back after a bit of kissing. "You know,
it's only around noon, which means that we have about 9
hours to whatever we like," he realized.
"You're right! We haven't had this in a while.
Our parents have always been nagging us and hanging around.
We really should do something special today," I
said.
"I agree! Movie night? We can't really leave my
house," Gage said.
"That sounds fine. Movies and dinner later?"
"Definitely."
We talked for few hours, just catching up and complaining
about our parents. I couldn't believe it's almost
been two years together.
"Want to start dinner now?" he asked. It was
about 4:00 pm.
"Sure!" We went in the kitchen, prepping our
meal. It took a lot longer that it should've since we
kept fooling around and getting distracted. We finally got
our pasta dinner finished and ate together. We put in The
Notebook afterwards and cuddled on the couch.
"I'm glad we got to spend tonight together,"
I told Gage.
"Me too," he responded quietly.
I looked at up at him and he looked back down at me with
his bright blue eyes. He leaned down and kissed me, gently
at first then with more passion.
"Have I ever told you I love you?" he told me as
he broke the kiss quickly.
"Maybe once or twice..." I said playfully.
"Oh, okay," he said as he leaned down to kiss me
again.
"Tell me, what's the
definition of
love?"
