**How long does Brooklyn's
popularity last?**
One month later....
Wow,it's been a while since I last woke up at five in the
morning. As I walked into school I noticed that people were
staring at me, but it was a different stare than usual, they were
smiling, some were clapping. I even had people come up to me
telling me how happy they were that somebody finally taught
Braeton
a lesson. But my popularity was only good enough to last two
periods. On the bright side that was the most anybody had ever
talked good about me. For the rest of the week teachers gave me
bad look and some people were talking behind my back, mostly
Braeton's friends. I really didn't mind it,
I kinda
liked it because it felt like everything was back to normal.
Throughout the next month,October, I felt as if my mother was
starting to care less and less about me. She didn't tell me
when dinner was done, I just ate whenever I found the left overs
in the fridge. She taught me how to do laundry, but never asked
if I wanted any help. If I ever asked her for help with anything
she just said 'Oh, I'm sure you can do it yourself.'
And she no longer asks me if I want to go anywhere after dinner
when I got home from school like usual. It's like she
doesn't want me to be a part of her life anymore..... Today I
made sure I was in the kitchen to eat dinner with her and I did.
I asked her why she doesn't tell me when dinner is anymore.
She didn't answer so I asked again. She said 'Oh, I
thought you should have some responsibilities of your own.' I
really didn't understand how coming to get dinner after my
mom told me it was ready is considered as responsibility, but I
didn't say anything to her for the rest of the week. I
don't even think she
noticed......
