*the
next
day
I
went
up
to
the
beach
and
just
swam
a
lot,
it
got
my
mind
off
of
things.
It
was
good
exercise
too.
As
I
was
on
my
way
home
my
mom
called
me.
“hello?”
I
answered
“mom?
What
do
you
need?”
“Angie,
hun,
can
u
pick
me
up
some
groceries?”
I
sighed,
then
responded
“fine.
What
do
you
need?”.
“milk,
some
frozen
corn,
and
a
loaf
of
bread,
thanks
hun!”
“okay
mom,
bye.”
I
hung
up
the
phone
and
pulled
into
the
nearest
stop
and
shop.
*I
grabbed
a
cart
and
strolled
through
the
aisles
until
I
found
the
stuff
my
mom
needed.
I
went
to
the
register
to
check
out
and
I
grabbed
some
gum.
Once
I
got
to
the
register
realized
I
probably
didn’t
have
enough
money,
‘well,
I’ll
just
check
out
and
if
I
don’t
have
enough
I’ll
put
the
gum
back…’
my
thoughts
were
interrupted
by
the
cashier.
“$12.62”
he
said.
I
looked
up.
God
he
was
cute.
“what?”
I
said,
shaking
away
my
thoughts.
“the
total
is
twelve
dollars,
sixty
two
cents.”
He
repeated.
“oh
sorry,
I
don’t
have
enough
I’ll
put
the
gum
back…”
I
said
trying
to
grab
at
the
gum.
“no,”
he
said,
“I’ll
spare
you
the
1.
62…I
don’t
mind,
just
don’t
tell
on
me.”
He
said
smiling.
“okay…”
I
looked
at
his
name
tag,
“matt.”
Matt,
I
liked
that
name.
“have
we
met
before..?”
he
questioned.
“no..”
I
gestured
to
his
name
tag.
“oh
haha,
sorry,
I
can
be
a
bit
of
a
blonde
sometimes.”
He
said
jokingly.
“its
fine,
me
too,
by
the
way
I’m
Angie.”
