Chapter
six.
“What do you plan on doing with her?”
“Well we have to explain everything to her.”
“But what if she told someone, we can’t risk being
discovered.”
“I think she didn’t, she’s a smart girl. I say we
give her a chance.”
“Okay, but we’ll have to ask boss about it when we get
back to the lab.”
I woke up into utter confusion, not knowing where I was, or who was
talking. It sounded like they were talking about me though. Then I
remembered what had happened, when I had been abducted. I
tried my hardest not to move, trying to listen to what the voices
were saying. One of them was the guys’ voices was familiar,
and I placed it with the guy who had done the actual abducting. The
other one’s wasn’t familiar though, he either must have
been in the car or we picked him up on our way to wherever this lab
was that we were going to. He didn’t sound very friendly
though.
“What was that?” The guy I didn’t know asked. I
had accidently kicked the seat. They slowly turned around to look
at me, I swear my heart was beating a 1000 beats per minute. I went
to scream but before even a small squeak was let out the drugged
cloth was over my face and once again I sank into the world of
darkness.
I felt ruff hands grabbing me and dragging me out of a car. I was
waking up from being drugged once again. But, this time I was
gagged, so I wasn’t able to scream. I had no idea where these
people were taking me or even who they were. It was so dark I
couldn’t see anything. I was surprised we hadn’t bumped
into anything yet.
I tried to read the guys mind, but I couldn’t hear anything.
It was if a barrier was blocking me. I felt the guys eyes bore down
into me; he must have realized that I was trying to read his
mind.
We walked, well more like he walked and I was dragged, for about
ten minutes down a long black hallway it seemed, until we stumbled
into a blindingly bright room. My eyes stung for a couple seconds
as they adjusted to the bright light.
“Sofia Lane?” I looked up to another man dressed in
black, they reminded me of death.
“Y-Yes?” I stuttered nervously. I had planned on trying
to act bold but that plan shattered as soon as I spoke.
“Resident of 19 Pale Moon Road?” I nodded this time,
not talking seemed to help me stay stronger. I was on the verge of
tears, I was more frightened now than I could ever remember being
in my whole entire life.
