part twenty

 Only six more hours until I would be on a coach bus heading to Washington DC. I should be sleeping, but we have to be at the school by 4 and the ride is 5 hours long. I think I'll find time to sleep. I checked by bag to make sure I had three cute outfits, sunglasses, sun block, toiletries, my camera and a bunch of other pointless stuff. I finally fell asleep after an hour of scrolling through witty quotes on my iPod. Five hours later my mom trudged into my room. "TAYLOR. YOU HAVE YOUR TRIP TODAY SWEATY. WAKE UP YOU SLEEPY HEAD."  I rolled over and gave her the "five more minutes" thing. 
"You need time to look good for Brandon." She winked at me.
"Mom!" I screamed embarrassed.
"Oh common I know you try to impress him."
"No I don't! He's seen me in sweats before. Brandon doesn't care what I wear."
"Fine. Well at least brush your teeth. You know, just in case he tries to make out with you."
"MOTHER." My cheeks turned bright red.
"I was a teenager once too." Good one, mom.
"Yeah but you're old. Things are different now."
"I know how to stay hip! I have an iPhone!" She whipped out her iPhone just to brag.
"Good for you, Mom. Now get out so I can make myself look human."
She walked out and I through on comfortable shorts and T-shirt. I put my hair in braids and put on a little mascara. 
When I got to the school it was still dark.  My phone buzzed inside my pocket and it made me jump.

hey babe;) good morning! are you sitting with me on the bus?

1 new message to: Brandon
good morning to you too baby:) and of course!

I met up with him, Lizzy, Amanda and Nicole and we all headed to thebuses. The seats were in rows of three so I sat in between Brandon and Amanda. Lizzy and Nicole sat across from us with this new kid, Mark.
Everyone was half asleep so instead of wasting time on talking, we all took out blankets and collapsed on the person next to us. I leaned my head on Brandon's chest and he stroked my hair. 
I woke up and it had already been two hours. Brandon was still awake and he smiled when he noticed my eyes were open. "Good morning, again, beautiful."
I smiled and replied, "Good morning handsome."
"How was your nap?" He asked.
"Cozy. I feel warm when I'm with you."
"You look so peaceful in your sleep, it's quite cute." He kissed my forehead. I giggled and rested my head again.
Pretty much everyone on the bus was awake now. Nicole had been talking to that Mark kid for a while and they seemed to be getting along.
Lizzy switched seats so she could be next to Steven and they were completely cuddling and giggling. Everyone seemed to be happy on the long bus ride.
Until we got lost.
