chapter 1
The beginning.
Day 3. 2:39, in the
afternoon. i hate school. it was designed to ruin lives.
8th grade, apparently, is going to be a better year according to
the principal Miss. Dawson, "as long as you follow
school rules, it should be an okay year!" basically, do what
your told, and hopefully all hell wont break loose. but its middle
school. kids are reaching the breaking point. this is Miss. Dawsons
first year as principal and shes already given out 7 detention
slips for girls shorts being "too
short" I've steered clear of her and haven't
gotten detention yet. but i do feel bad for her. she
lives 3 houses away from me, so i know for a fact she
lives alone with no children. she irritates me. Anyway,
its English, the last class of the day and then i go home. i
glance at the clock, only 5 minutes left, unfortunately
my English teacher sees im not paying attention.
"Muse, what is the noun in this sentence?"
seriously? its the third day of school, other teachers are
making us fill out crappy, information sheets. i pause and read the
sentence.
"house....?"
but the bell rings, and Miss Dawsons voice floods over
the speakers. and we're released. I really stick out when
i walk to my locker. everyone seems to be with a friend, not
me. but then he walks by. whoa. the most gorgeous blue eyes i
have ever seen. dark skin and his hair is spiked. he was
wearing baggy jeans and a black shirt with the
monster energy drink logo on it. I've never seen him
before. and i knew he couldnt be in my grade, he must be in
seventh. when I arrived home i grabbed the yearbook from the
previous year and looked in the 6th grade section. i found
