I'll Never Let You Go

Chapter 13.
Jessica's POV.

"Justin, we have to be there in 15 minutes!" I said. It was already 9:45 and Justin wasn't getting out of bed. "I'm gonna jump on you!"
"Well this should be entertaining." He teased. I rolled my eyes. How did I not know that he would enjoy that?
"Justin, up."
"Nahh." He said. I walked out the room and found a bucket. I filled it with freezing water and walked into the room.
"I'll pour this on you." I threatened him.
"No, you won't."
"Wanna bet?" There wasn't a trace of a smile on my face. Justin jumped out of bed. I put the bucket down.
"Thank you. Now get ready." He started walking in the bathroom. "You don't have time to shower! Chop chop, mister."
"Someone's pushy today." He stuck his tongue out at me and I did the same. I picked the bucket up and went to poor it back into the sink. Now I know Justin's weakness.
I walked back into the room and Justin was dressed.
"Better?" He asked.
"Yup." I smiled at him. He kissed my nose. "Let's go, kid." We started walking out to the car. My mom and Justin's mom weren't coming because they were doing some planning. On the way home last night, we had told them who the maid of honor would be. And the ring bear and flower girl. They agreed.
We got to the soup kitchen in 5 minutes. There were a bunch of people with not a lot of money waiting to be served. It felt good doing something for the needy.
"We're so happy to have you. Thank you for coming." A lady greeted us.
"What do you need us to do?" Justin asked.
"Justin, you can help serve food. Jessica, we need someone to wash dishes. Thank you so much."
"No problem." We both said. We both walked to the back of the room to the kitchen. People were staring, but nothing we couldn't handle. Justin let go of my hand as I walked to the sink. There were dishes piled up. I took my ring off and set it carefully on a little shelf. I started washing. I looked out into the cafeteria. A bunch of people were eating and they were happy. I felt like a hero in a strange way.
We worked for another hour when I had to go to the bathroom. It was actually a really nice bathroom. I washed my hands with cinnamon soap and dried them off. I fixed my hair in the mirror and walked back out to wash more dishes.
"Actually, Jessica, thank you for working for us. You guys are free to go. Most of the people left already." The lady that greeted us told me.
"Okay, thanks." Justin was already waiting for me. I went back to the sink to get my ring. It wasn't there.
"Justin, where's my ring?"
