Chapter 38.
Justin's POV.

"What's up, ma?" I asked when we got settled in the limo. Jessica's mom was at work, so she didn't even know that we went to the interview. I'm sure my mom would fill her in on what was said.
"Nothing."
"Don't try that with me." I demanded.
"Justin, I just don't want you to make the same mistakes that I did. Why don't you just wait until you're married?"
"I'm not waiting that long." I said.
"I'm just warning you. Do what you want. If something goes wrong, don't come crying to me."
"What do you mean, 'if something goes wrong?' What could go wrong?"
"I'm not going to get into it right now."
"Come on, tell me."
"No. This conversation is over." She looked serious. I backed off.
We got to the house and Jessica ran right up to her room without a word since the interview.
I followed her and she slammed her door in my face. Okayyyy?
"What's wrong, Jess?" I asked after opening the door. She went to sit on her bed.
"I just have a lot on my mind right now. That's all."
I went to sit with her. "Like what?"
"Nothing."
"Tell me."
She didn't tell me. I kissed her lips. "Tell me." I kissed her neck. "Tell me." I kissed her nose. "Tell me."
"Fine! Gosh. What if your mom was right? What if something does go wrong? Why don't we just wait?"
"Why do you want to wait? Nothing will go wrong."
"How do you know? Have you done this before? Are you hiding something from me?" She asked.
"No, I haven't. I just know that nothing will go wrong."
"Whatever. I just don't get why we have to be so rushed lately."
"We aren't rushed."
"Okay." She rolled her eyes. Her eyes filled with tears.
"What's wrong now!?" I asked. I wrapped my arms around her.
"Just hold me, Justin. Don't ever let me go. Okay?"
"I won't ever let you go."
"Promise?"
"Promise."
