Chapter 2
I got home and I saw my dad out
side with his face in his hands.
" Dad you okay ? " I asked.
"No " He replied upset.
"What's wrong ? "I asked
"I think your mom left us " He said
"Wait... what ? What do you mean ? " I asked.
"She left after Jas left school " He said " She
left letters on your beds but I didnt open either of them. She
removed her phone from our plan. She packed everything and left
" He said
I then broke down me and him hugged. I couldn't believe it ,
I was so upset to know tjhat my mother left me and my sister and
my dad.
" Go pick up Jas from School and let her know " He
said
"Are you sure you don't want to tell her ? " I
asked
" No .. I can't " He said
"Okay " I replied.
I then went and got in the car and wiped my tears and redid my
makeup and picked up Jasmine. She saw my car and looked
surprised.
" Why are you here ? " She asked getting in the
car.
" Lets go get ice cream " I said changing the
topic.
" Uhm okay " She said
We got to the Ice cream place. I went up to the counter with her
adn there he was Anthony.
" Hey Stranger " He said
" Uh hi " I replied
" Whos this " He asked pointing to Jasmine.
" My sister " I replied.
" Oh hey " He said introducing himself
I then got a twist cone and Jasmine got mint chocolate chip . I
then took her over to the table .
"Something happened didn't it ? " She said
I then sighed .
" Yeah " I said responding
" Do tell " She said
" Now this will probably be hard , but you and me have
to stay strong " I said
" Okay" She said
" You know that Dad and Mom Love you and me right and they
care so much for us ? " I asked
"Yeah " She replied.
" Well I got home this afternoon to Dad looking pretty
upset... Something must be going on with mom because she
went away for a while " I said
My sister started to get upset.
I hugged her.
" You mean she left us ? "She asked
" Thats what we think " I said
We then started getting upset more.
" Is dad ok? " She asked
" I dont know , Probably not , Its his wife of 20
years" I said
" But Jasmine we are going to have to stick together
ok ? "
" Yeah " She said
We then finished our ice cream I waved bye to Anthony and
we got in the car and went home. Me and Jasmine Ddint go to
school the next week we were too upset. I ignored all texts and
spent time with my dad and Jas . Jas slept in my bed everynight.
On Sunday I heard a knock on the door. It was me and Jas
home alone my dad went grocery shopping.
" Coming " I yelled.
I opened the door and Anthony was there.
" Uhm hi ?" I said suprised.
" Hey " He said
" Hold on " I said
" Jas Ill be right back " I yelled
I then closed the door.
" Why are you here ? " I asked
" Where have you been ? " he asked
" My mom left " I said
" Your kidding " He said
" Nope how do you know where I live ? " I
asked.
" Believe it or not I live two houses down and I saw
you getting the mail the other day " He said
" Seriously " I asked
" Dead serious " He said
" Oh " I said .
" Well let me text you later before she gets all worried
" I said
" Haha okay , bye " He said hugging me .
I then hugged him back.
" Ill be praying " He said walking away
"Thanks !
I then walked back into my house.
I then got a text from Anthony later on
Anthony : Hey Liz wanna hang out tommorow after school
?
Me : Sure
Anthony : : D yay ! see ya tommorow
