So many people think you get it on your eleventh birthday. You don't Harry only did coz Vernon and the Dursleys (Hey, that sounds like a bad name....) kept him from getting his letter. Normally you just get it sometime in August or sometime during the summer. You definitely DO NOT always get it on your birthday. It was mere coincidence.
