Tie Me Up And Throw Me Down
Part Six
Sorry I write short paragraphs, I like
suspense[;
"Sorry the girls were all over me
today." Mitchell said guiltily as we arrived at my front door.
"It's alright. I'm used to it by now." I said
half smiling. He hugged me. "Bye Darc. Call me later,
ok?" "Ok." I said opening the front door. My
dad was sitting on the couch. Crap. "Oh, hey dad."
"Darcy sit down." I went over and sat on the chair across
from the couch, scared for my life. "What's up dad?"
"I know you snuck out." "Dad, I-" "But
that's not the problem." I cocked my head to the side.
"Then, what's wrong?" He took a deep breathe and ran
his hand through his hair. "Dad?" "Darcy, I-I'm
sorry." "Sorry for what?" These are the exact words
he used when mom died, I don't like this feeling. "Darcy,
after you left, I-I'm sorry. I tryed to save him. I didn't
make it there in time." "Who dad, who?!" I said
crying now. "Merlin." My lip quivered real bad. I burst
out crying, running up to my room, slamming my door shut. "Why
God why! I go to church every Sunday. What did I
ever do to you? My mom and my best friend! What's your
problem!?" I screamed kicked my sweatshirt across my room,
then I heard a jingle. I picked up the sweatshirt and Merlin's
collar fell out. "I love you Merlin." I said hugging the
collar real tight to my chest. There needs to be someone I can
call.
"Hello?" He answered the other line with.
"M-m-Mitchell, ca-can y-y--you come back over?"
"Yeah sure, why what's up?"
"He's gone."
The line went silent for a second.
"Who?"
"Merlin." I choked out.
"I-I'll be right there." He said hanging the phone
up.
Why does this have to happen to me? It's all my fault. If I
didn't go to that stupid dance! I walked into my bathroom with
Merlin's collar in hand. "You were all I had left." I
whispered digging the razor deep into my wrist. I sat down on the
floor, next to the pool of my own blood. My finger was stained with
it as I dipped it into the pool and wrote on the bathroom floor in
blood. Everyone I love is gone. I spelled out the blood
still dipping off my wrist. "Darcy, you in here?" I heard
Mitchell's voice and banging on the door. "Don-" Too
late he opened the door and saw it all. This is the part I thought
he was going to be screaming. Instead, he came right over to me and
wrapped his arms around me, letting me cry into his
chest.
