Thirteen.
That night, I slept in his
hoodie and a pair of shorts. I tried to fall asleep, but all
the thoughts I was thinking, kept me awake. About in the
wood. Then it came to me. Jay was so sweet. So
comforting. So perfect. But, what could I do for him in return?
Nothing. The least I could do was be the perfect girlfriend. To
be everything he could ever want. I at least had to
try.
I woke up and the sun was splitting the trees.
I went out to my balcony and sat there. I looked over all the
palm trees that was spread all over the city
(Florida).
I looked over to Jay's balcony, just to find him sitting
there.
"Hi, beautiful." He said.
So, there I was, with my hair in the messiest bun imaginable,
short shorts, a too-big hoodie and uggs, and he
called me beautiful.
I giggled "No, I don't think so. But thank You
baby." I said.
He was wearing a red Hollister top and jeans and red
converse.
"You look gorgeous. As usual." I said.
"Thanks."
I shuffled along the balcony to right next to
him.
"So, are you leaving later?" I asked
"Yeah." he nodded
"How long for?" I asked in curiosity.
"A week or two." he said.
I kissed his cheek. "I'll miss you."
He held my hand. "I'll miss you too,
baby." he nodded.
"Can I like.... Talk to you about something?" I
asked clumsily.
"'Course, are you ok?" he asked
"Oh. Yeah. Just.... I was thinking Last night. Your so
amazing. Your so sweet to me. Your protective, but not too
protective, you like.... Saved me last night. And there is
nothing I can do for you." I said.
He kissed my lips lightly.
He smiled at me. "You give me everything, just by being
with me, Kelsey. Really you do." he said. "But
if you really want to do something small for me........."
he said.
"What is it? Anything!" I said.
He pointed to his cheek.
I smiled. I got what he was talking about. I reached up to kiss
his cheek.
