A new angel dwells in heaven,
he moved in just today.
I got the dreaded phone call
saying, "Your dad has passed away."

I can't see his face or touch his hand
or tell him not to go.
I didn't get to say, "goodbye,"
or say, "I love you so."

But, I know he still can hear me.
he didn't go far away.
he dwells within my memories
and all my yesterdays.

I'll hold his image in my heart
and remember what I see.
I'll not forget the times we've shared,
My special friend and me!
