One Secret Too Many #5
Lexi
I
fiercely hugged my surprise attacker, Aidan. He's been my
best guy friend since the 3rd grade. He laughed, "Hey Lex,
did you miss me?
I finally let go of
him and rolled my eyes. "Oh not at all," I said with a
wink. "That's why I got so excited when I saw you for
the first time in a month!"
Aidan just kept
laughing while I took him in. He was good looking, there was no
fighting that. He was very muscular, very tan, with chocolate
brown eyes and very dark brown hair that was cut really short.
But we're just friends, and I love him like a brother.
I looked away from
Aidan to see my other best friend, Molly, standing right behind
him quietly. I screamed yet again and hugged her too. She
wasn't expecting it, and fell back a little from my weight.
But she laughed and hugged me back anyway. Molly is gorgeous, she
has a perfect body, fair skin, long, curly blonde hair, and gray
eyes. I get jealous of her beauty sometimes, but she's not
one to flaunt it around.
I looked at my two
best friends, thinking how I was so lucky to have them.
"Lexi, what are
you looking at?" Molly asked, laughing.
"Oh
nothing," I replied, "Just thinking how I have the two
best friends anyone could ask for."
Molly just rolled her
eyes and smiled, but Aidan said, "If you love us so much,
how come you didn't invite us up to your summer house?
"Come on,
Aidan, you know that only my family goes up there!" I
said.
"Yeah, I know
that. I'm just teasing you." He winked.
The warning bell
interrupted us, and we knew we had to go. I hugged Molly one more
time and she was off to her homeroom. I turned to Aidan and gave
him a kiss on the cheek, we're friends like that, so it
wasn't awkward. "Bye Lex." He said.
"See ya
Aidan!" I answered. With that, Aidan turned and walked off
to his homeroom. I walked into my homeroom, and saw Tyler!
Yay! He's in my homeroom! I thought. This year was
really turning out great. I sat next to Tyler and smiled.
"Hey!"
"Hi," He
said coldly. Then he turned forward in his desk and the teacher
walked in. I turned to the front, shocked at how he treated me.
What did I do? I thought to myself. He was so nice
to me in Staples. Why does he seem like he hates me now?
I couldn't do
anything about it now, because the announcements were on and we
weren't allowed to talk. I sat through homeroom in silence,
and when the bell rang, I turned to Tyler to ask what his problem
was, but he was already halfway across the room to the door. I
decided I'd find him after school, and walked to my first
period class.
