The smell of stale pop
corn, hot dogs and the pier are in my nose. I can see you from
across the park through the crowds of people, I see you. I’m
not sure who you are, but I do know that I need to see your face. I
run towards you pushing people out of my way. I pass the ring toss
and the shooting range, the kissing booth and the merry-go-round.
You start running only faster in the direction I am headed.
You speed into the mirror maze. I follow you in. I need to see your
face. I turn around ever guy I see, looking for you, the I see you
in the reflection I turn around a place my hand on your shoulder,
you start to turn and then- “I think
she’s finally waking up guys.” I can hear the steady
breathing of 3 or 4 people. Someone is tickling my feet. Keeping my
eyes shut I curl up and pull my sheet over my head. Some attempts
to tickle me. I start laughing and I get tangled in my sheets. One
of them holds me down while the others tickle me, their hands going
up and down my body. . I start crying from laughing so hard. All of
them are laughing and smiling. I try to get away but my sheets have
me stuck. I pull all of them with me and end up hiding under a pile
of blankets and sheets on the floor. “Well
good morning sunshine” I hear from outside my
pile. “Morning” I
mumble out. “Let’s give
her some time to get ready.” Jake suggests so they all file
out closing the door behind them. I scramble out of my mess and
throw it onto my bed, knowing my mom with fix it. I slowly make my
way across my room to my closet. I look in and decide I want to go
for a girly look today. I first choose a dress with a pretty floral
pattern and followed that with picking out a pair of red pumps. I
finished it off with a Tiffany necklace, funky ring and cute
earrings. I walked out of my closet and plugged my curler into the
wall. As I waited for it to warm up I found a cute bag that I
wanted to carry today. I grabbed a handful of pens and pencils and
put them in the bag, also grabbing my school binder from my
backpack. I sat down and curled my hair with a wide barreled curler
so my curls were large and bouncy. I added some mouse and the hairy
sprayed it all to hold the curls. Then, I did my makeup really fast
and stood up. I slipped on my dress and shoes and put on my
earrings. I then slipped on my ring and stood in front of my full
length mirror. Looking critically at the image I walked into my
closet and picked out a yellow flower hair clip. I pinned back my
bangs with it and then my look was complete. I grabbed my phone off
the charger and my purse and binder then walked out my room. Slowly
walking down the stairs so I didn’t fall I hear the guys
talking about that bet again. “Alright
so who wants in?” asked the voice of Ryan. “You
know I do.” replied Matt. “I
talked to Sam already and he wants in too!” said another
voice. “So I
guess it’s the three of us then.” said Ryan. “Well, I
guess it is.” I sneaked into
the room and then asked, “What-cha talking about guys?”
I ask sweetly batting my eye lashes. “Woah...” I
hear from them all. “You
look… Woah…” “I hope
that’s a good thing guys! Ha-ha!” I said with a smile.
I then turned and walked away and into the kitchen to make some
breakfast. First I found milk, a bowl, a spoon and my cereal
Captain Crunch. I poured the milk into the bowl, added my cereal
and ate quickly. I then went on to throw the bowl into the sink and
follow all the guys out the door shutting it behind me. We walked
shortly to the corner and waited for the big yellow school bus.
