We
were always worried about how we looked. We had to have those
expensive clothes, and we had to look our best 24/7. When our
heart was broken, we'd lock ourselves in our rooms and cried
our hearts out, cry ourselves to sleep. Then the next day,
we'd pack on our makeup to cover up our puffy red eyes and
we'd go to school happy, even though we were dying inside.
We'd get jealous of any girl who would talk to that the guy
we loved, and automatically want to kill her. We found out
that the people we thought we could trust were just backstabbing
jerks, but always acted like they were your friend.
So here's to the new year,
2011.
Where we won't be afraid to eat a cookie, or 2, or 3. Where
we'll go to school with our natural hair and in sweat pants
and a t-shirt, because that's when we're the
prettiest. We won't fry our hair with hair
straighteners, and won't pack on the makeup.
It's a new year, let go of grudges. Forget everything bad
that happened in 2010, and hope for a better
2011.
