part 30.

"But sir.. i don't see why is kidney failure.. test her again.. i bet you its kidney stones.." my mom said firmly. i woke up my eyes fluttering open.. this time Darry was here.
"fine.. but we tested her 3 times already and they all came back positive for-"
"i KNOW what they came out positive for.. CHECK. HER. AGAIN." my mom screamed. i sighed.. this is sort of embarrassing... i got wheeled out of the room.. the doctor not knowing i was awake he was mumbling stuff about my mom under his breath as he wheeled me to the testing room. when we got there.. i was yet again, needled and went out like a light. but this time it was a lot longer. when i woke up this time, the only pain in me was my head ache.. i was in a new room then before and only Darry was here he was in the bathroom arguing with someone.. im guessing he was on the phone though since no one was answering him. then there was the sound of him i think crying... i never saw him cry. i sighed in agony worrying about him. when he finally came out he walked over to me. with a totally forced on smile. i opened my arms for him and he rested on me letting it out
"don't ever give me a fake smile again..." i whispered he just nodded
"now tell me what's wrong.. you have never been this upset.." i said
"well.. that's not true... you should have seen me flipping out while you were in the hospital here and i was all the way back home not knowing what was going on with you.." he said. i sighed
"well anyway.." he started
"my dad just informed me.. that me and my family are moving.." he sighed. my heart dropped all the way down to the ground
"b-b-b...but why..." i choked..
"i don't have a clue.." he said
"but where.." i asked starting to cry..
"California.." he sighed.. i stopped breathing.. i just starred at him... i couldn't believe this was happening. we looked at each other in silence for a little.. then my mom came in the room
"hi guys.. Darry could i have a moment with Steff.." she said nicely he nodded and walked out the room
"honey.. i.. i know you might just kill me for this... but.. me and Griffin say its for the best.. were moving.." she said
"where." i asked annoyed.. why the hell is everyone moving so suddenly..
"California.." her voice cracked. my eyes lite up..
"don't.. get too excited.. theres more.." she said. i got worried then
"were moving into Mikey and your aunts house.." she said slowly. my heart stopped.
"really." i said dryly
"mhm.." she said slowly
"and how is this a good thing.." i asked
"well.. your aunt moved there.. to be closer to grandma and grandpa.. but now auntie is having money problems so me and Griffin are moving the family there to help her out.." she said. i just nodded slowly..
"are you ok with this though.." she asked.. i nodded. she kissed my forehead and walked out. Darry walked back in
"what was that about.." he said
"she was just giving me a speech about how she no longer has trust for me about drugs and stuff because of Mikey so for now on shes gunna be checking my room on a daily bases.." i said he just nodded. i could have told him.. it would make the mood of the room so much better but i decided to surprise him
