Who Are You ?
    Chapter Four
The weather was nice for September. The soft wind diminished the warmth of the sun. If only the weather stayed like this all year. I let the autumn air fill my lungs as I walked to the end of my driveway. The time on my phone read 6:45. The bus was already supposed to be here. Did I miss it? My nerves of missing the bus on the first day of school started to kick in; my stomach felt like it was getting pushed down by a twenty pound weight. I was contemplating going back to my house to get a ride, but everyone was asleep. Maybe I should just skip the first day. No one would notice anyway. As soon as I was about to turn around, the screech from the breaks of the big yellow bus filled my eardrums.
I fixed my top and stood up straight with my head up.
I can do this. My feet began to move towards the bus: left foot, right foot, left foot, right foot. I was greeted by an old lady driving the bus. Her hair was white and her face was tan with wrinkles. Her lips were painted on with a hot pink color and her eyelids were bright blue.
“Hello! I’m Ann. I will be your bus driver for the next four years!” she said, enthusiastic. Her voice was motherly. I smiled and said hello back.
My eyes wandered to every seat on the bus and down the isle. Every other seat seemed to be full. No matter where I looked, every person appeared to be on the border of passing out. Overall, the bus was quiet. The only sounds I heard were heavy breathing and the beats of modern songs. I took my seat in the second row and took out my phone with my headphones. I scrolled through the selection of rock, techno, and some up to date songs that I downloaded a few days ago. Not knowing which type of music I was in the mood for, I pressed the shuffle button and let the songs play on. My mind began to drift and my eyes started to drop. The sudden stop of the bus snapped me back to reality.

The door opened and I saw two heads walking up the stairs. The first one was a girl. Her front bangs hid the hair above her bright blue eyes. Her lips were polished with a soft pink gloss. Her red hair was long and wavy. She looked like a fire princess. Great. When I thought my nerves were gone, a gorgeous girl had to walk by me. I turned away and brought my water out. I was about to plug the music back into my ears when I felt a presence.

            “Can I sit here?”

I have to be in a certain mood to write .
