A
real
athlete
is something more
than a kid in a
jersey.
They never regret an injury, but
push through it.
They keep fighting until the clock
runs out.
They know their plays like the
back of their hand.
They're the first ones to
practice, and the last to leave.
They don't settle for
losing.
They work not for themselves,
but for the
team.
They don't blame a loss on
the refs, their coach or teammates, but think how they can
get them next time.
They constantly think of how
to make themselves
better.
They treat every practice
like a game.
They never say "I
can't."
They respect their coach, no matter how
much they can't stand
them.
They know that in the end, all the
sweat and hardwork will be worth
it.
They never, ever give
up.
They
take criticism, and learn from
it.
