CJ gave one look at me and knew something was wrong.
"Korina, what's the matter?" He asked with a
concerned look on his face.
"Nothing, I'm good." I told him giving him a fake
smile. He looked at me skeptically before deciding to let it go.
Before I knew it, I saw Nate walking up the driveway.
"Hey Korina, I've been looking for you." He said with
a smile. I glared at him hoping that he understood to not say
anything in front of CJ.
"Do you know this dude?" CJ asked me.
"Oh, uhm yeah I met him the first time I came here." I
lied. Nate looked at me funny and then got the point.
"Yeah, we're pretty good friends which is why I came up
here to invite you two to a party at my house tonight." Nate
said smirking at me.
"Well thanks, but I think we're fine." I
answered.
"Now Kor, wait a sec. It could be fun meeting some kids our
age." CJ told me, probably thinking about how a party could be
a good place for him to find some girls to hook up with while we
were here.
"Exactly." Nate agreed with CJ.
"Oh uh, alright." I shrugged.
"Cool, it's on Oak Lane. Right across from the lake."
Nate explained.
"Okay, hey thanks for inviting us man." CJ said giving
Nate that whole guy handshake thing.
"No problem, hey I'll see you two later." Nate said
before leaving with one last smile at me.
