Unexpected
Chapter 11... anybody reading?
Jackson just looked into my eyes as if he couldn't even
comprehend the words that had just come out of my mouth. It seemed
like he wanted to say something but he didn't have the right
words to speak.
"Are you sure?" when those words came out I felt
relieved.
"Yes. The doctor said they checked multiple times. They made
sure," I explained nervously.
"Then I guess we're having a baby," Jackson said
hesitantly.
"I totally understand if your mad. I didn't mean for this
to happen. I'm so sorry," I preached struggling to hold
back tears.
"Mad? How could I be mad. Kate this was not your fault, at
all,"
"But I was the one taking the pill. I was supposed to prevent
it."
"Forget about that Kate. It doesn't matter at all. I love
you with all my heart. I couldn't stand to be mad at you,"
Jackson's reassuring words mean the world to me. He gently
wrapped his arm around me and pulled me in to him so my head was
resting against his hard yet warm chest.
"But it's a baby Jackson. I'm having a baby," it
finally clicked into my brain that I was pregnant.
"I know. And I am going to be with you every second of every
day, until you have this baby," Jackson said as he squeezed me
tighter.
"You promise?" I asked.
"I promise. I love you Kate, and we're gonna get through
this. No matter how hard it gets. We're gonna get through
this." he said these words with such confidence. And when he
said them I truly believed that everything would turn out
fine. He gave me the strength to believe it was
real.
