Where i need to be part 21
"Yes!" i said opening my arms for a hug. Once i had said
the word all of my doubts and fears had subsided and all that was
left was my undying love and need for Brandon, for the rest of my
life. He looked a little shocked at first, but soon recovered
hugging me and giving me a kiss that gave me shivers. My entire
family was smiling clapping and cheering. Even Grandaddy who hated
yankees, but loved to see me happy. Brandon stepped back to put the
ring on my finger. It was just a simple silver band with a oval cut
sapphire with little tiny diamonds encircling it. It matched my
earrings. I starred crying as i imagined the beautiful life i'd
have with him. He looked at me and said "Scarlett, i believe
you're finally where you need to be."
I looked at him and said, "I am. Right next to you."
The next few days were full of the congratulations and
the happy tears from my family. Brandon and i decided to have the
wedding in a month before we went of to NYU together. As i was
talking to Carolann and saying how happy i was and asking if
she'd help me pick out a dress. when Mary Lou came
over.
"Carolann would you mind so terribly if i stole Scarlett for a
few minutes? Thank you." She said without waiting for an
answer.
"So i was hoping that since your girlfriends back home might
not be able to fly in, that you'd make me, Dolly, and Lacy your
bridesmaids!" she said linking my arms with her and leading me
on a walk. My ankle was much better and i was able to walk a little
but not very far. She lead me out to the back fields towards the
stables, with a tight grip on my arm. In fact her grip seemed too
tight as if she had a mission.
"Um sure. I was hoping Lacy would be my maid of honor, so you
carolann, and dolly can be my bridesmaids!" i said as we
approached the stables.
"O Hun thank you! Lets go for a ride shall we?" she said
pulling me into the stables.
"Um well i dont really know if i can-" i said stopping
dead once i saw what was going on inside the
stables.
