Young Love (3)

 

I left Nick alone for the rest of the day so he could keep packing. Hannah and Jeremy left so I had a day at home with the mother.  I helped my mom clean out the garage on my day of doing nothing.

"Hailey, have you met the new boy next door? I did, and hes pretty cute!" my mom said.
"Hahaha, yes mom i met him yesterday. He is one of Jeremy's friends from camp"
"Well, when I was your age I would have died to have a cute boy living next door"

of course right as mom said that i see Nick walking up the driveway

"Hailey, I was wondering if you would like to come with me to the store up the street to get some tape, and maybe an arizona?"

i looked at my mom with the can i? look on my face, and she told me to go and have fun and be safe.

The store down the street is like a 15 minute walk to get there. 15 minutes alone with Nick. I could tell this is going to be akward.

"So how has your morning been so far?" Nick asked me
"Well, pretty aweful i would have to say. I have been helping my mom clean out the garage. We are turning it into a room for my sister and her baby if they ever decide to come back home, well if mom lets her that is" i said

"how old is your sister?" nick asked
"well...uhmm, shes 16...she got pregnant with her boyfriend and moved into his apartment because my mom was disgusted in her"
"well i see why..haha, this is a random question, but are you single?" nick asked me...

i was kind of embarassed but i knew i had to tell him the truth...
"yess, i actually am single. i have never had a boyfriend" i said.

"WHATT!? you have never had a boyfriend? well with a girl as beautiful as you thats hard to believe!"


i really didnt know how to respond to that but I just kinda smiled and said a tiny "yeaaaa (: "

Well when we finally got to the store he picked up the tape and two arizona iced teas."

"you dont have to buy me an iced tea, i mean i have my own money to buy one miself" i said
"noo no i got it, there only a dollar. its on me"
"fineeee, goodness ! thanks though"

when we got back he asked me if i wanted to help him unpack his stuff and i said sure, but i had to ask my mom first...but wheni got back home, i noticed something that might turn disasterous.

It was mom, and my sister. Screaming at eachother. I knew something was wrong
