I didn't follow Shawn as he walked up to
his room. I kept remembering the look on her face. That look told
me what little of a friendship we did have, just crashed into the
rocks, got eaten by a whale, then got spit up and scattered along
a great white shore. Or to make a long story short, we weren't
"friends" anymore. I didn't really want to think of her
though. It seems everytime something good happens in my life, she
finds a way to make it suck. Now she had a snowball's chance in
hell with Shawn. I didn't really have room to brag, we had about
the same chances. Sure me and Shawn just madeout. That should be
a big deal, and it is to me; but to him it's absolutley nothing.
Nothing is ever a big deal to Shawn; we could have "done
it" right there on the couch...hopefully WITHOUT getting
interupted by the princess, and it would have meant absolutley
nothing. Okay maybe that's a little over dramatic, but I mean he
never cares. Or at least acts like he does. I blinked slowly,
trying to shake myself out of my thoughts. As if on cue, Shawn
came sliding down the banister and flew into the living room,
hitting me with a pillow. He was in a black beater and white and
black plaid shorts. Yeah, he always has to look good. He jumped
on the couch and looked up at me, the way he always does when he
needs me. "Hey Lyns?" "Yeah?" "Do you
think Lacey likes me?" My heart sank. So he does like her...
"Duh goof. Why else would she walk to your house?"
"To vandalise it genius! That's exactly what she did!"
We started cracking up. "Yeah," I giggled, "but
she wanted me to try and get you two together. She does like you.
She text me that." He smirked and smiled, "So the
barbie doll digs me?" He flexed his arms, " Who can
blame her when I got a smokin hot bod like this?" He pulled
up the beater and flexed. "That is very niiiiice," I
laughed. "Imma gonna count it." I counted, "One,
Two, Three, Four, Five....umm. Isn't there suppost to be
six?" "Yeah dork! You can't count! Look there's
SIX!" He flexed some more. "Better hit the boflex
buddie," I teased, hitting him in the tummy. "You outta
talk there squish!" He jumped on me tickling me. I burst out
laughing and tried to get away from him. "Come on Shawn! I
gotta walk home!" I laughed and fought him until he gave up
and just as he let me go, he pulled me back down and kissed my
forehead. I smiled and kissed his nose. He picked me up and
walked me half way home; we talked, I know we did. I really don't
know if he likes Lacey. He kind of hinted that he didn't. I'm
dreading talking to her, but it has to happen soon. I'm so tired
of this. Of everything. A change is gonna come, and this time
Lacey, you're not going to ruin it for
me.
