Kindergarten: we were coloring pictures in our classroom, and a boy stole one of my crayons. you had a fit, and started crying and everything. so i went over to the boy and got your crayons back for you, i even got him to apologize. you thanked me for the help, and, tears streaming down your face, you hugged me. Third Grade: you fell off the swing at recess and scraped your knee. i helped you walk over to the bench and wipe the stones off. i fetched a band-aid from our teacher and put it on your knee. you thanked me for the help, and, tears streaming down your face, you hugged me. Sixth Grade: we were in gym class. one of the mean girls came up and pantsed you in front of the whole class, including the boys. everyone was laughing, except for me. you ran into the locker room. i turned towards the girl, slapped her, and ran in after you. your face was red from the embarassment. i told you about how i slapped her, and even got you to laugh. you thanked me for the help, and, tears streaming down your face, you hugged me. Ninth Grade: we were hanging out at your house and we were on the phone with your first serious boyfriend of one and a half years. you were having a little argument, which led to him dumping you. he had broken your heart, so i called him and yelled at him for a good ten minutes, then hung up on him. you thanked me for the help, and, tears streaming down your face, you hugged me. "you're the best friend i could ever ask for," you whisper in my ear.

College: you called me and told me the bad news, your mom had passed away. i rushed to the funeral and ran up to you right away. you were sobbing, and i started to, too. but i cheered you up when we shared fun times we had with her and all of our good memories. we were laughing when you thanked me for the help, and, tears streaming down your face, you hugged me. My funeral: you were standing in front of everyone with a microphone, my best friend. you told my upset friends and family of how i was always there for you. you said that i was her best friend forever, since kindergarten. right before they closed my coffin, you whispered "you're the best friend i could ever ask for," blowing me a kiss.
