aubzxox23, did you READ my comment? My point was I doubt anyone would ever use the word "retarded" as in referring to mentally challenged people and making fun of them. This quote especially does not portray a situation like that. THAT was my point. If it were a rude quote like that then I would not have favored it, nor would I be commenting.

When I say "retarded" or call someone "retarded", 99% of the time I'm not even referring to the mentally challenged. I use it just like I use the words "stupid" and/or "dumb". It's become an everyday insult, I never ever say in a way that refers to a mentally challenged person. My boyfriend has three mentally challenged cousins and I have more respect for them than for anyone else I know. Just because I favorited the quote doesn't mean I am a monster. I know that's what some of you are thinking and have thought but it's not true. Just wanted to clear that up..

This really isn't something people should joke about. My sister is mentally challenged and that seriously hurts. They are the nicest people ever. And, smarter than all of us in their own ways. As in senses. Some have amazing hearing. Other touch or scent. They are just as smart (or smarter) than us, and they don't deserve this kind of treatment.
