There's so much on my plate and so much on my mind. It always pushes me to the edge, and just when I'm about to topple over, pulls me back in. There's always a lot on my mind and so much on my plate. It throws the weight on my shoulders and shackles me in, and when I'm about to cave in, it breaks me away. There's so much on my plate and so very much on my mind. It compresses my lungs and twists my insides, and when I'm about to collapse, it revives me again. For crying out loud there's so much on my mind and more than necessary on my plate. But I'm going to miss it some day, in some demented way. Because I miss it right now.

I used to think that perhaps I could be a poet, but I am not. I am unbound by rhymes and rhythms, untamed by silly metaphors. My words were a candle to the sun, but I wrote them out of verse and they became like a prayer spoken to my God.

My first real kiss was with a stranger, a person I barely knew. And I don't regret that. I don't regret it because I will have lots of firsts, and very likely none of them will be with the one I'll spend forever with.
But it's four a.m. and I'm still awake and I cant help to wonder what it would be like to be kissed by someone who loves me and it's four a.m. and I can't help but to want all that I've never had.
