Chapter 14
Amanda took Connor and I everywhere. We went to the arcade, the hottest stores, we went out for pizza, and then we played practical jokes on sushi waitresses at Miambi, a japanese resturaunt. Connor and I were getting fond of Amanda. Even though she was younger by four years, she was still really cool. She has a boyfriend, his name is Jordan. We haven't met him yet, but he's coming over on Saturday so we're all excited to meet him. Connor found a girl he liked and asked for her number, now he has someone to text other than me, aha. I saw Andrew with another girl today. We only met once, for a short few minutes, but judging by what we did in that short few minutes, it still hurts. Connor led me out of that store when he saw it, and then they bth cheered me up by drawing cat faces and sitting in stores, meowing as loud as they could, and licking their hands. We had such an amazing day, but now, we're all at home, doing our own thing. Except Connor and I, we're still hanging out. Connor is playing xbox, and I'm watching trying to get a good idea of how to play our new game. I was laying flat on my back on the floor, my tank top was up just below my bely button, and I had sweat pants on, rolled at the waist so they weren't to long. My hair was up in a messy bun, but it was alright, I was just with Connor. That was until dad yelled for all the kids to come downstairs, he had a surprise. Connor paused the game and followed behind me dow the stair cases. WHen we got to the bottom, and old couple was standing at the door way.
"Connor, Shelby, these are your step grandparents." He said.
I was suddenly self conscious. I kind of looked gross the way I was dressed. My tank was so far up my stomach it made me look like a sl*ut, I mean I was so skinny it actually looked kind of cute, but only for laying around. I shook their hands as the women overlooked me.
"Far too skinny. Nice face, beautiful hair, very cute George!" She said to my dad, who hated being called George.
Next was Connor, she looked him over and talked to my dad.
"He's very handsome. This ones boyfriend?" She asked pointing to me.
Connor and I had laughed a little.
"No, Jillian, this is Connor, my son. Him and Shelby are very close though, they are never anywheres without each other. In fact, I'm pretty sure they're mother told me that the went on each others first dates together." He laughed. It was nice to see dad laugh, even if I was mad at him.
"Well kids, you can call me grandma." She said, smiling at us.
I smiled back and my dad lead us all into the kitchen.
We all sat down around the table, and then dad said it
"Ho much longer are the kids going to be here George?" The old women asked.
"Until they are eighteen."
