"May I ask what you two are doing out, on the beach, after curfew?"
You couldn't see much of him because of the rain and his umbrella, but he was mad. There was something in his voice. Dylan replied to him
"I just wanted to sing her the song I wrote for her. It was my idea, I take the blame. Don't punish Maci, she just met me at the beach. It was all my idea. "
"That's very conciderate of you Mr.Cooper. Alrighty then. You two get back to your dorms, Dylan, I will let you off the hook this time, but if it happens again, you will have on campus suspension. Understood?"
"Yes Dean Wonn. Thank you."
As Dylan walked away, Dean Wonn approached me.
"Maci, he's a keeper."
I smiled and replied,"I know."
"By the way, I am sorry about what happened to Patrick. I hope he gets better soon.'
"Thank you, Dean Wonn."
I got back to the room and Grace was asleep. I just climbed into bed and fell asleep.
The next thing I know, the alarm was ringing. I woke up, went to go brush my teeth and get dressed, and then touched my hair up with my straightener. Next time I looked at the time it was already 8:00. Time for breakfast at Blur. Grace, Devin and I walked to Blur together. We all ate breakfast, Dylan and I went to classes, as we did every other day. It was already Thursday, and the party was tomorrow. At lunch, Claire told Grace and me that she would do our hair for us after her classes. The rest of the day seemed to fly by. After pottery I went back to the room and started my homework . Around 3 : 30 Lina came to my room and waited with me for Claire to come pick us up to go see Patrick. When we got to the hospital, at first the doctor wouldn't let us in to see him. He said that he was in critical condition. Claire nearly broke down right there. When Bruce came out of the room, his eyes were red and he told the doctor we were with him. When we entered the room, the only thing I payed attention to was the beeping sound. It was getting slower and slower. The nurse rushed all of us out and slammed the door. A few minutes later, the doctor went into the room. Claire and Bruce were breaking down in the waiting room. Lina and I were trying to comfort them, and Mom was trying to find out what was going on. About a half hour later, the doctor came out of Patricks room. He said that Patrick was still alive, but he was now in a coma. Claire burst into tears, so did Bruce. My mom was holding back tears, Lina and I were doing the same. We all had to get out of there, so we went to dinner. Dinner was akwardly quiet, just like the hospital room was the day before. After dinner, we made our way back to campus. I just could not focus on anything. I didn't do the rest of my homework. I had to turn off my phone because some how EVERYBODY on campus found out that Patrick was in a coma. I just took a shower and went to sleep early. The next day, the day of the party. I didn't feel like doing my hair. I woke up at 7:30. I didn't feel like putting skinny jeans and makeup and deal with my hair, so I put on a Juicy Couture tracksuit, threw my hair up in a bun, put my white Nike's on, and left the room. I didn't talk much that day. Claire didn't do our hair for the party. We all still went though. I left my hair curly and put it in a up-do, put on eyeliner and my strappy heels, lastly I put on my dress and grabbed my clutch with phone and eyeliner in it. I left for the party. It was a good thing to take my mind off of Patrick and I was having fun. Until I got a call from Bruce.
