Leigh
So early in the morning,
I was feeling really sick.
I couldn't stand them kissing,
The love of my life, and Rick.
Outside of the school building,
On my back, Florida sun,
The kids all with their sweethearts,
The day has only begun.
All throughout my English class,
I couldn't bear to sit still,
All that I could think about,
Was who I wanted to kill.
The day dragged on forever,
While I waited for tonight,
A vampire out for blood,
Soon Rick's spirit would take it's flight.
The night finally fallen,
The time for his death has come.
Before Leigh, we were best friends,
But, I still do love him some.
Yes, I still do love him some,
But now Rick does have to die.
I'll be there to comfort Leigh,
All because death makes her cry.
I walked up to his front door,
A sharpened knife in my hand.
He opened it 'Hey Billy.'
His finger still bore Leigh's band.
It only took one quick swing,
And he fell into the ground,
Wide open his neck was sliced,
Soon, his body would be found.
A blanket of red liquid,
Quickly spread across the floor.
I looked at Rick one last time,
Before heading out the door.
The cops will ask me questions,
They will find out it was me.
They will all know I did it.
I killed him for a girl, named Leigh.
I'm telling you this story,
As I'm sitting on death row.
Soon, they will call my name off,
And then will be my ending show.
I am only a young boy,
Who didn't see the light above.
Who killed his very best friend.
Because of a girl they loved.
