"Winter Memories"
And as you stare out the window,
You think of last year's memories:
Those never ending snowball fights until your hands froze,
And building snowmen in your front yard with carrots for a nose,
Making snow angels on the ground as you stared up at the sky,
With puffy white clouds that you watched pass you by,
Back in the house you went with your boots covered in snow,
Then you'd sit by the woodstove and watch the fire grow,
The scent of fresh baked cookies in seconds would fill the air,
And on the side would be a hot cup of coco that you'd take a sip of if you dared,
You'd look out the window and watch the tiny flakes decend,
As you would think of last winter's memories that would come to you once again.
