i remember the first night i met you
and we talked online for hours
we found out we both liked french fries
and playing guitar when we're sad
and you said you really liked me
and that was enough
i remember the time we first hung out
and you looked really good in green
you told me i was beautiful
and i was perfect
and then you hugged me
and that was enough
i remember when we were laying in my bed
and we just looked into each others eyes
while i played with your hair
and you told me how happy you were
and then you kissed me

i remember how we took a walk
and the weather was really nice
and everyone outside stared at us
because they knew we were perfect for each other
and you held my hand

i remember how we drove to the school

the stars were really bright

i remember when it was time for you to leave
and we stood in the street in the dark
you put your arms around my waist
and it gave me the chills

i remember the days i would stay after school
and wait for you to finish volleyball practice

and get mad when i didnt look you in the eyes
because you thought i didnt love you
and i started to realize
i might not be enough
and ill always remember that day i could feel something changed
and i came home to find out that my friend saw you making out
with some girl outside the school
and i cried until my insides were empty
because i knew i wasnt good enough
and i never will be
