    Let Me Be Your Reason
    chapter fourteen.
We got out of the car and Caleb walked up behind me and took my hand. I smiled up at him surprised. "We never danced." He faked a frown. "We can later." I smirked at him and looked over at Sophie. She kept her eyes on the big building in front of us. We got inside and Caleb walked over to the desk. "Oh, I wasn't expecting you today." The man behind the counter said. It was the same man. "Yeah, well you know.. the girl wanted to show her friend around." He smiled gestering towards Sophie and I standing off to the side away from the counter. "Come here." He said looking back at us after telling the man he wanted passes. "We need bracelets." I explained to Sophie as we walked over. The man behind the counter gently placed Sophie's pass on her wrist and Caleb helped me with mine again. "Let's go on the double carts!" I begged Caleb as we stood in line with Sophie. "But that's not a fair race." He laughed a little. "It's fine, you guys can. And then maybe Annaleigh and I can go double too?" Sophie quickly answered. "Okay. As long as it's okay with you Sophie." Caleb smiled a little at her. Once the man opening the fence that lead to the karts for the next round of people we all ran to the numbers we wanted. I plopped down in the lane next to Sophie, since she was in a single kart and Caleb and I were in a double. We sat directly across from eachother and waited for the signal to go.

    Let Me Be Your Reason
    chapter thirteen.
"Hey, Annaleigh. What's the deal for after school?" Sophie asked bumping me at my locker. "Oh, I uh, I had plans." I said softly looking at Caleb who was standing at his locker next to mine. "Oh, got it." She sighed. I guess she didn't really like the fact that Caleb and I were starting to hang out more and more lately. But I mean, it was kind of her fault for trying to set us up so badly. "Hey, Annaleigh. We could all hang out, I mean if it's cool with Sophie and you." Caleb inturrupted our conversation. "I wouldn't want to--" Sophie began to explain. "No, no. Come on! It'll be so much fun! Maybe we could go to that go-kart place?" I smiled at Caleb. "Yeah, totally." He smiled at the two of us. "Come on Soph! You'll love it, please!" I begged. Finally Sophie gave in and we were on our way. We got on the highway and after about half an hour Sophie pointed out the sign reading 'Friendly's'. "Oh my god! That's like the last Friendly's ever, can we go?! Please, please, please?!" Sophie begged from the backseat. Caleb 'causually' looked over at me for the okay, knowing my past. I nodded at him and he took the exit. "I love this place!" She smiled as we walked in. "You're acting like our child." I laughed looking at her. "Oh shut up, you two are so boring." She smiled at me as she waved her hand at the two of us. "We're so exciting, just wait till we get to the track, you'll see." Caleb smiled. We each got a small sundae and then were back on the road to the track. The place was pretty close and we didn't have to drive anymore than 5 minutes. "We're here!" I smiled as Caleb pulled into the parking lot. "It's inside?" Sophie asked confused. Self explanitory questions are always coming out of Sophie. Caleb and I smiled at eachother before getting out of the car. I'm really starting to, I don't know.. fall for him?
    - I've had the stomach bug, ugh. Sorry! -

    Let Me Be Your Reason
    chapter twelve.
We both got out of the car. The bell was going to ring soon so we walkeds over to the back doors ready to run in when needed to. We sat on the curb. "I didn't do it yesterday." I smiled at him proudly. "You made me feel beautiful when you told me I was, the only people who tell me that are my parents." I said looking straight out into the football felid. "Really?" I heard his voice change, he sounded happy again. You know the Taylor Swift song where she's like; there's somethin' about the way the street looks when it's just rained, there's a glow off the pavement .. & you know I wanna ask you to dance, in the middle of the parking lot?" Caleb smiled at me shyly. I nodded. "Let's dance." He smiled as he stood up in front of me sticking out his hand. I smiled in shock at him. "Really?" I smiled. Just then the bell rang. We quickly got up and banged on the back doors till someone opened them and let us in. We raced down the hallway to our lockers, grabbed our biology binders, and quickly ran off to biology. Quickly we took our normal seats in the back of the room, right before the bell rang. As we walked in I couldn't help but notice April, she looked sad. Guilt ran over me but I quickly pushed it away. She's not a nice person to begin with, she knew what Jake was doing. She just didn't want to admit it and hearing it from someone else was worse.
"So, listen to TSwift often?" I wrote on a piece of paper. "
Hell yeah, I so totally swear she like stole my diary." He wrote back, and I read it in his sarcastically mimicking voice.
    "We're in a fight. (;" I joked.
"Wow, gonna carry this fight out after school?"
"Um, I guess.. I mean if you wanna get beat by a girl." I smiled at the paper.
I could see Caleb studying my face from the corner of my eyes, causing me to smile even more. It was a good thing the teacher was to busy going off on April for not doing homework to notice. I felt like telling the teacher she was to busy trying to keep her boyfriend, but I didn't feel like getting suspended. So I just wrote it on the paper to Caleb. He chuckled a little and before we knew it the day was over.
    - So sorry it took so long for these to be up here. My computer was acting up, but I put a chapter up for every day I missed. Thanks for reading. <3 -

    Let Me Be Your Reason
    chapter ten.
"Caleb!" I smiled as I ran out of the house and down the steps. Caleb was leaning against his car and my mom stood in front of him as they talked. "Alright, well we should get going." Caleb politely smiled at my mother. I love how he respected her so much. "Of course." She smiled turning to face me. "Love that shirt, Le Le." She smiled at me. "Mom!" I groaned as my face turned red, again. "Sorry sweetie." She laughed. She hugged me tightly as Caleb walked over to the drivers side. "Have a good day at school. Don't lose this boy." She whispered in my ear. I nodded at her. "Love you." I said as I waved from the passenger seat. "Love you too." She smiled and waved back from the porch. "Sorry." I sighed. "About what?" Caleb asked looking at me and then quickly back to the road. "My mom. I didn't think she was gonna talk to you, again." I said as I stared out the windshield. It looked like rain, I love rain. "Oh don't even worry about it. She's too nice." He smirked. "So, Annaleigh."He smiled looking over at me as he pulled into the parking lot of dunkin donuts. "Wanna hot chocolate?" He smiled as he got into the drive thru lane. "Uh, yeah sure." I answered a little unsure. "Your mom told me about how when you were little you guys would always get hot chocolates on a rainy day." He smiled before pulling up to the speakers. "Two small hot chocolates, please." He spoke to the worker. "Sorry, that was rude, did you want a bigger size?" He said looking at me after he pulled up to the window. "No, a small is perfect. I can't have drinks in my first period class anyways." I reassured him. "Okay, good." He smiled. The lady handed him out drinks and he gave one to me before he quickly got out of the parking lot. The bell rings at 7:35 and it was only 7:15, so there was no real rush. Right as we pulled up to the school and opened our doors it started pouring. We both cracked up as we ran towards the school. After we were out of the rain we stood in the dry spot right near the door. The roof was protecting us from the rain. We laughed a little more and caught our breaths. "I love the rain." I said as we stood there staring at each other. "I do too." He smiled looking down at me, due to our height difference. "Are you gonna kiss me?" I interrupted our staring. "Is it okay?" He asked looking in my eyes. Immediately I got the butterflies. I love Caleb's eyes, I love how he gets along with my mother, and more than anything I love how much he respects me, and my space. I nodded as I continued to look back in his eyes. Slowly, he leaned down and kissed my lips. His lips were so soft, they were amazing against mine. Once we pulled back I looked around. A bus had just pulled up and I saw Jake looking over at us, he saw. Then shortly after Sophie got off the bus and ran over to us. "Sorry to interrupt love birds, but the bells gonna ring soon." She laughed at us. My face yet again flushed red, as we walked into the school.

    Let Me Be Your Reason
    chapter nine.
That night I indeed had very sweet dreams, about Caleb. Usually when I remember my dreams they're about Jake. Honestly, I never thought there would be a day that I'd say this, but it was a pleasant surprise. I woke up when my phone vibrated. Let's say I'm a really light sleeper.
"Good morning Annaleigh! Wanna ride to school? Wait, don't answer that.. I'll be there at 7. Better not keep me waiting today. (;" - Caleb!
I smiled a little to myself and checked the time. It was only 6:30, maybe I'd actually have time to get ready this morning. After gaining energy I hopped out of bed, covered in smiles. Slowly I approached the mirror on the back of my closet door, terrified of how I was going to see myself today. I was shocked. I stood there for a minute trying to find my flaws. My face was pimple free, socially acceptable, my hair actually looked cute in this messy bun, socially acceptable, I smiled softly, my teeth looked good this morning. Was I actually happy with my appearance today? I scanned my body again and stopped at my legs. "And those thighs." April's words continued to haunt me. "You're already beautiful." Caleb's sweet words replayed in my mind. People have no clue how powerful their words are. Maybe Caleb just saved me a day from puking, maybe I'll actually eat lunch today. I won't eat dinner. But lunch is a good place to start. I stopped looking in the mirror and walked into the bathroom. Again I turned the water on and got it. There I thought about a new rule. My new rule is that if Caleb or anyone else can actually make me feel pretty, or worth something in this crazy messed up world, I'll go through that day without puking, or starving myself completely. I wrestled with the knob today, a little less but that's not the point. Once I was out I found my clothes for the day. I was going to wear a pair of ripped jeans and a flowery top from American Eagle with a cardigan on top. My outfit today was cute. I wasn't done until I slid Jake's bracelet on my wrist. I found it and put it on. After that I did my hair, naturally curly today and then I applied some eye makeup. I looked over at my nightstand from my vanity. It was 6:56. I slid on navy flip flops that matched the background of my flower shirt, grabbed my backpack, and walked down the stairs. "Well you look happy this morning." My dad smiled. "Yeah." I replied with a little half smile. "Where's mom?" I asked looking around the kitchen. "She's outside talking to your boyfriend." My dad laughed looking up from his paper. His cup of coffee in front of him was still steaming. "Dad! He's not my boyfriend!" I smiled as I felt my face get hot.

    Let Me Be Your Reason
    chapter eight.
"Hey sweetie, want some pizza? Your dad and I ordered in tonight." My mother yelled from the living room. "Oh, I can't eat another bite. Caleb brought me to an amazing restaurant." I lied through my teeth as I stood at the bottom steps to the staircase. "That's nice. He seems like a good guy. How was your day?" She asked. "It was great, but I have to go get ready for bed now." I said as I quickly ran up the stairs. My stomach was unpleasantly growling now. I brushed it off and took out the scale from my walk-in closet. Slowly I got on, terrified of what the result were going to be. Eventually I gained the courage to look down, '96'. I was 96 pounds. I'm just a little over 5 feet tall, so I should be at least 115. But I think that I could still use a couple more pounds, or 10. After I was done looking at the haunting numbers I got out my pajamas, plaid pants and a big shirt. After everything was laid out I walked into the bathroom wrapped in a towel. After getting the shower nice and hot I jumped in. Once I was done I tried to shut off the water, but my fragile arms just couldn't do it. I fought with the knob for a good 5 minutes before I finally fell over in the slippery tub, but at least the water was off now. Right then and there I realized what I was doing to my body. I'm becoming weaker and weaker everyday, and I also realized that I honestly don't even care. After I was done getting ready I slid under the blankets, turned on my tv, set my useless alarm, and checked my phone.
    '2 New Messages from Caleb!'
    "Hey.."
"Look I'm sorry about my comment earlier, forgive me?" - Caleb!
"Hey sorry, I was gettin' ready for bed.. It's cool.."
"It's fine, so um did you like today?" - Caleb!
"Oh yeah, it was a lot of fun.. Hbu" "Yeah, it was a blast." - Caleb!
We talked for probably another hour about random things. Finally someone is showing a little interest in my life.
"Well, I'm going to sleep.. Gotta get my beauty sleep; ya know.."
"You're already beautiful Annaleigh(: but sweet dreams." - Caleb!
Did he really just tell me I was beautiful? Even Jake never told me I was beautiful. I was always 'pretty', or I'd get a 'Should you really be eating that?'.
"Good night Caleb. Thanks for everything, sweet dreams."

    Let Me Be Your Reason
    chapter seven.
"Wow! This place is actually pretty cool." I smiled with amazement after our nearly hour drive to the go-kart place. It was indoors, and it was so decoritive. "I love this place, you're gonna love it too, promise." Caleb smiled at me as he walked over to the desk. "Hey! Two all day passes, please." Caleb smiled at the man. "Of course, Caleb." The man behind him smiled back. "Do you come here often or something?" I asked him as we walked away. "Well, I guess you could say that." Caleb smiled as he put my paper braclet around my wrist, showing that we paid. Ugh, he needs to stop with these half story things, he's so interesting. I guess that's a good thing. "Let's go!" He ran from me towards the go-karts. "Hey! Wait up!" I laughed chasing after him. We stood in line and waited until we could get our karts. "Ready to eat my dust?" Caleb laughed. "I don't eat anything." I laughed a little and drove off. Not even a second after I said that, I realized what I just did. I hope he doesn't read into it to much. Hopefully he thinks nothing of it.
    ----
"Let's get some dinner. I'm starved." Caleb said as we got into his car leaving the go-kart place. "Uh, yeah. Um I guess we could." I said looking down at my hands that I was playing with nervously. "Or I could just bring you home and get food myself." He said trying to get my attention as he stared at me. "Sure, I mean. Yeah, it's probably getting late anyway." I said looking at the clock. It was only 7:30. "Yep, that's fine. I'll just take you home now." He replied as we pulled off and headed towards the highway. The long ride took forever, all we shared was awkward silence. Finally we pulled up to my house. "Thanks for today, I really enjoyed it." I smiled as I put my hand on the door getting ready to leave. "Analeigh?" He asked quickly. I looked back at him, "Yeah?" "Why won't you eat?" He asked, it looked like he had just lost a puppy. His eyes looked so sad, I've never seen him like this before. "I'm gonna, right now. Don't worry. I'll text you later." I smiled and walked out of the car.

    Let Me Be Your Reason
    chapter six.
"Where are we going?" I asked quietly as I sat down in the passenger seat. Caleb's car was very nice, and very clean. It had black leather seats and the outside of the car was white. I didn't know Caleb had this type of money, well I guess I never really asked either. "Umm, well I heard of this place where you can drive go-karts." He answered pulling out of my circular driveway and heading off down the road. "So, we're going there?" I asked confused, he never answered me. "Yeah, if that's okay with you." He said looking at me then back at the road quickly. "Uh, yeah sure. But um why did you have to pick me up so early?" I asked looking out the window. The sun had already rose but the sky looked beautiful at this time of the morning in California. "Well, there's this diner I used to go to all the time with my mom. It closes at 10, and I just thought it'd be fun to go to." He smiled at me while he stopped at a stop sign. "Well, um I'm not really a breakfast eater." I answered quickly. "Oh, that's fine. You can just get a coffee or something." He said as he pulled into a small diner. We got seated instantly, and the woman took our order. "I'll have a hot tea, please." I told the waitress. Coffee had calories, tea didn't. "I'll have a hot chocolate, with whip cream, two scrambled eggs, and a side of baccon." Caleb smiled at the lady handing her our menus. Man, that sounded so good, but I couldn't have any or I'd become a fat cow. He got his food shortly after and I drank my tea watching him eat. "So, you used to come here with your mom?" I asked as he stuck his fork with some eggs on it into his mouth. He nodded with a little smile. "How come you don't come here anymore with her?" I asked curiously. "Well, she just hasn't been up to it lately, I guess." He answered. I could tell it was a sore subject, so I just dropped it. I still wanted to know though.

    chapter five.
A few days passed and I'm warming up to Caleb a little. Sophie seems excited.
I don't think I'm too excited yet though.
    ----
"Analeigh!" My mother called from downstairs. I rolled over, like I do every morning. The clock read '6:50'. What?! 10 minutes late?! Great. "I'm up." I sighed. "No, it's not that sweetie." She smiled opening my door. Nice job knocking, I thought to myself. I was laying in bed all wrapped up. "There was a bad storm last night and the power at the school isn't working so, there's no school today. So I didn't bother waking you up." She explained. Immediately I started panicking, was I going to have to actually eat more than 600 calories today? "Oh, okay. I'm going back to bed then." I said as I got comfortable again. "About that, there's a boy downstairs waiting for you. I told him you guys didn't have school today, and he's insisting on taking you out." She explained. I groaned. "Who?" I asked already knowing the answer. "Um, I think he said his name is Caleb." She replied with a confused expression on her face. "Tell him I died." I answered flatly as I tossed on my bed. "He can hear you dear, he's just in the kitchen." She laughed. "I'll get ready and be down in a minute." I sighed tossing my blankets to the other side of my bed. I heard my mom run back down the stairs and started talking to Caleb again. I got out of bed and put on a pair of light jeans from my dresser and found a hoodie. I slid on a white cami and then my purple hoodie over it. I ran to the bathroom, with no time to throw up the dinner I didn't have the previous night, I just brushed my teeth, applied a little make-up and went downstairs. "Hi." I said looking at Caleb. "Well, look at who decided to visit the world on this fine morning." He laughed. "Have fun you two." My mother smiled as we walked out the door.

    chapter four.
"Well, I was wonderin', do you wanna like I don't know, help me around the cafeteria?" Caleb asked calmly. "It's really not that hard, you just get in line, grab a lunch, hand the lady two dollars, sit down at a table, and eat." I said looking at him awkwardly. "Ignore her rudness, she's not really a morning person." Sophie tried to excuse me, yet again. Caleb casually then looked at the clock, noticing its past 11 am. He probably thinks I'm a freak now, but whatever.
    ----
"Hey Analeigh." Caleb smile at me as I put my books into my locker before lunch. "Hi Caleb." I said looking back at him. "Oh my gosh, Jake! Look at your pathetic ex-girlfriend. No wonder why you dumped her, she's such a freak. Can't even make eye contact, or hold a decent conversation." April laughed walking past my locker on Jake's arm. My face flushed immediatly. "Go to hell, April." I rolled my eyes at the back of her head as she passed by. "I would, but another day of seeing your face, and those legs. God, I might have to die." She laughed looking over her shoulder looking me up and down. "You'd already be dead if you're in hell, stupid." I said under my breath because she was already so far away. "What was that all about?" Caleb said looking confused. "Don't worry about it. I'm not going to lunch, I'll see you later." I said hurrying off to the bathroom. I sat on the toilet for a while, but those words haunted me.
    'And those legs.'
    'Those legs.'
    ' Those legs.'
And then I did it again, I puked. More and more, untill nothing would come out anymore.
(Sorry it was so late, I've been studying for midterms! Wish me luck! <3)

    chapter three.
I walked into biology and saw April right away. Her hair looked nice today. I pushed her out of my mind and took a seat in the back of the classroom next to Sophie. "So, how's that new locker buddy treatin' ya?" She smirked while nugging my shoulder with hers. "He's spectacular." I shrugged. "Oh look, here he is." Sophie smiled looking towards the door. "My dear." My biology teacher sighed once the bell rang. "It looks like we've got an odd number of students. You know the drill, no one is without a lab partner. Us biologist must work in teams, never the less." She went on and on. "She meant we, we biologist." Sophie corrected her under her breath. We both giggled a little quietly. "So, what's your name, sir?" The teacher asked walking over to the one odd person sitting in the back. "Caleb." He responded with an eager smile. "Well, welcome Caleb, you can choose what team you'd like to join." She smiled back at him. He sighed and looked around the room. "Caleb, over here!" Sophie flashed a polite smile and waved to our table. Gee, thanks Soph. "Do you like him or something?" I asked annoyed before he got up and joined us. "No, but he likes you, and it just might be good for you to get a little human interaction" She laughed. "Hey guys!" Caleb smiled pulling a chair over to our little tableish thing, whatever they classify this as. "Hi." We said in unison. "Good pick." The teacher smiled walking away. "Anna-" Caleb began. "It's Analeigh." I rudly inturupted. "Only her grandfather called her Anna, it's a sensitive subject." Sophie tried to explain. "Oh, ah gottcha' sorry, Analeigh." He corrected with a smile. "Yes?" I asked. "Do you have second lunch?" He asked curiously. "Yeah, I do. But Sophie doesn't." I answered staring at Sophie. She was behind this, I don't know how, or what she and Caleb had in mind, but she was deffinetly involved in the plot.

    chapter three.
"Hey." I smiled at Sophie as I walked through the big doors into yet another first day of school, yet another long year of seeing Jake's face with April by his side. "Let's go this way." Sophie suggested guiding me away from the hall I was about to go down. I knew why. I looked back and caught a glimps of his hair. It looked soft today, but it always did. Sophie and I were talking and walking, while trying to find our new lockers, yeah talk about multi-tasking. Suddenly body slammed into mine and almost knocked my fragile body to the floor. Sophie caught me right before I toppled over. "Oh, uh. I'm sorry miss. I didn't um see you there." A guy with dark brown hair looked at me. "Yeah, it's fine. My bad." I said shrugging it off. "Oh, no. It was really mine. But I'm trying to find my locker. I'm Caleb, I'm new here. Will you help me?" He asked still looking at me. "Uh, well I'm trying to find my locker too-" I began to explain. "She'd love to help you." Sophie cut me off. We continued walking in the same direction, "Our lockers should be this way." Sophie explained to Caleb. "Really?!" She half whispered half yelled in my ear as we started walking again. I rolled my eyes and tried to find Caleb's locker so he could leave us alone. "Wait, what number is your locker?" I asked realizing we hadn't yet. "Um, 348." He answered looking at his piece of paper. "Oh perfect! Analeigh's is 349." Sophie smirked and winked at me. "Perfect." I mumbled under my breath. I guess it's fair to say I have nothing against Caleb personally, just I'm not the one for relationships.

"Analeigh!" My mother called from down the staircase. I rolled over on my big fluffy bed and faced the alarm clock, '6:40'. I guess I over slept, again. "Analeigh! Get up!" She yelled again. I could hear her foot steps grow closer to my door. "I'm up, damn it." I yelled back. Let's just say I'm not a morning person, or a people person for the matter. I groggily got out of bed and threw on my favorite pair of skinny jeans and a light blue cardigan that showed off my curves in all the right places. I walked over to my vanity and looked around through my jewlery boxes, finally I found it. The bracelet Jake gave me on our 7 month anniversary, casually I slid it on my right arm. Taking a step back in the mirror I looked at myself up and down. I sighed almost immediatly. I couldn't take it anymore, it's been to long. I ran into my bathroom and forcefully puked. Jake's new girlfriend is prettier than me, her hair was better, her eyes were brighter, her smile was bigger, and most of all she was skinnier than me. And I've came to the conclusion that's why Jake left me for her. That's the only reason why this could have happened. It's all my fault I thought to myself as I continuously threw up. I shouldn't have ate as much, maybe if we didn't go on dates all the time. Maybe if I ate salads everytime instead. I brushed my teeth and walked down the stairs. "Honey, I made you your favorite, pancakes, with the little ears like mickey mouse." My mother smiled from the kitchen. "Yeah, uh, no time mom. Sorry! Maybe next time, gotta get to school." I faked a smile and ran out the door. And that was my excuse every morning, 'can't be late to school'.

    Let Me Be Your Reason
    chapter one.
I'm Analeigh. I was born on this earth 17 years ago, and I'm still here with no clue why. My hair is a really light shade of brown, sometimes it looks more blonde than anything. My eyes are probably the only thing I can actually stand about my body. Depending on the make up I wear, they're either blue or green. In all my baby pictures they're blue, but as I aged they sorta changed to green. I have a best friend, Sophie. Sophie and I have been close since Kindergarden, she's my neighbor. Our parent's are pretty successful. My dad is one of the most paid lawyers in California, and her mom is a great author. We look a like, most of the time people confuse us of being twins, generally we play along. Mainly because both being the only child, we get bored sometimes. I've been single most of my life, besides Jake. He was my first and only boyfriend, I don't think I'll ever really be over him for good. He's drop dead gorgeous, his sandy hair and deep brown eyes melt my heart everytime. I didn't take the break up to well, and I guess that's how all of this started.

I stopped running with him after a while and stood in front of a huge building. “An ice skating rink?” He asked looking at me. “Yeah!” I smiled. “B-but I can’t skate.” He replied. He stood there a little hesitantly. “They’re not opened.” He smirked. I walked over to the door, dropping his hand and ripped off a sign. “OPEN, THANKSGIVING DAY.. AFTER 6 P.M.!!!” I took it over to him. “I’ll pay, please?!” I gave him a puppy dog face. He agreed eventually. “Yay!” I jumped up and down. “A-Anna! Come back…” Daniel yelled. “Let’s go slow poke.” I laughed and looked back at him. We’re the only ones here, besides the worker who handed us the skates. “I told you, I can’t skate!” He gave attitude. I skated my way back over to his side. “I’m sorry.” I said softly. “It’s okay.” He said replied after seeing the guilty look on my face. “Come on..” I tried to change the conversation as I took his hand and led him away from the side of the rink. “Woah. Anna, slow down!” He freaked out as I held his and directed him all around. “Come on! It’s the only way to get used to it.” I smiled at him. We continued skating until Daniel finally got the hang of it. “So, do we go back now?” I asked looking at him as we walked out of the building. “Well, uh there’s no where open at 9:30.” He chuckled a little looking at his phone. “Okay.” I sighed. We headed back towards the school. “Race ya!” He yelled once we were close to the doors. Before I could answer he had already booked it past the front doors. I ran behind him and chased him down the hall, up the stairs, and around the corner. He stood outside of a room and I stood behind him. “Wait, this isn’t our door…” I blurted out confused. “Well, someone’s getting used to the place now.” Daniel laughed. I spun around and faced the other door, touching the doorknob. “HA! I win!” I said looking up at Daniel’s face. “I definitely let you win.” He smiled at me as I walked towards my room. “Yeah, whatever helps you sleep at night dude.” I smiled and opened my door. “Just telling the truth dude.” He mocked me. I rolled my eyes and giggled a little under my breath. “Goodnight.” He said softly before I closed my door. “Night.” I smiled looking into my room. I quickly changed and plopped on my bed. Wow, today was fun. I sat there for a while before I heard a slight knock on my door. “Yeah.” I answered softly. Daniel’s soft silhouette stood in the doorway. “It’s really lonely here tonight..” He whispered. “Yeah, so?” I could feel my face getting warm. “Let’s watch a movie.” He purposed.

“So, uh where are we going?” I asked looking up into his big eyes. The wind blew my hair. I got annoyed with having to continuously fix it and grunted aloud. Daniel chuckled a little at me before answering the question. “Well, I was thinking we could go to the little diner down here, I’m not sure if anything else is open.” He answered a little hesitantly. “Oh, okay.” I replied and continued walking. Finally we got to a small diner, well I guess it‘s not that small, but still. “I really like this place, my mom used to take me here all the time when I was little. I’ve never really came here with anyone else before.” He said looking down at the menu. “That’s nice. I bet she was a good lady.” I said overlooking the menu. “She was the best.” He smiled a little placing his menu at the end of the table. “Hey Dan! Long time no see, how’s it been?” The waitress touched his arm gently. “Yeah! You know, same old, same old. Been going to school down the street. Safest thing for me, ya know?” He said back at the lady. “Oh yeah. I’m sorry about your mom. Need anything, just give me a holler. You know I’m always here.” She said, her tone softened. Daniel left the conversation just like that, I guess he doesn’t like talking about his mom. “Thanks.” He said suddenly, really quietly though. “Shirley-temple? Just like old times?” She asked changing the subject. “Uh, yeah. Sure, and um one for the girl.” He smiled before I could say anything. “Sure thing.” She smiled walking away. “Um, what on earth is a Shirley-temple?” I asked narrowing my eyebrows together. “Don’t worry, ya gonna love it.” He smiled. “So, what are you getting?” He asked. “Um, I think I’m gonna get a burger.” I said a little quietly. “A what?!” He freaked. “Bella’s going to get a burger. Oh god! What’s up with the world.” He pinched himself. “Oh shut up.” I laughed at him. The waitress smiled and came over to take our orders and gave us our Shirley-temples. “Thanks.” I smiled at her. She nodded and walked away. We ate and left shortly after. “I don’t wanna go back to the room.” I smiled at him and spun around on the sidewalk so I was standing in front of him. “Let’s do something!” I added happily. “Did she give you some alcohol or something?” He laughed. “No no no no no! I just want to do something come on!” I nagged. “Oh, whatever. Where do you wanna go?” He smiled a little. “Let’s go here!” I took his hand and ran down the street, the wind was blowing my hair as I giggled a little.

I was in the middle of folding and putting away all my clothes the night everyone left campus when I heard a knock on my door. I looked down and I was still wearing my pajamas that had leaves on them, like fall. I sighed and walked to the door anyways. “Hi.” I said quietly as I opened the door. “Hey! Uh- nice pajama pants.” Daniel laughed looking at them. “Shut up.” I said giving him a little half smile. “Well, we’re the only ones here in the whole campus, I don’t even think the dorm advisors are here…” He began. I looked at him, trying to see where he was going with this. “Well?” I asked breaking the silence. “Well, we should go get some food. I mean, th-there’s no food in here.” He suggested a little shyly. “Um, yeah.” I agreed quickly. God I hope I didn’t sound too eager. “Well, you should go change.” He smirked looking at my pajamas again. “Yeah, whatever.” I laughed a little playfully. “See you in five.” He smiled as he turned to leave. “Five?!” I freaked. He chuckled a little and walked across the room and into his room. I sighed shutting my door. I walked over to the bed, I had no clue what I was going to wear, I had no clue where we were going. Why did I need these details? I don’t even like Daniel, at least not like that.. So, why am I even going? I looked through my drawers. I guess something that could work for either types of restaurants would be a loose flower printed shirt that flows, but is tight around the hips. I threw on a peachy colored tank top and slid the shirt over my head, careful not to mess up my straightened hair. I ruffled through my jean draw monitoring the time. 2 minutes left. I picked up a light pair of jeans that had a couple casual rips in them. I walked over to study myself in the mirror. I pressed my shirt down and smiled, I looked fine. I quickly grabbed my eye liner and mascara to do a little touching up. I found my brown flip flops and slid them on. Ready to go. I smiled at myself before opening the door. Daniel’s door was opened so I looked around for him. He was sitting on the couch in the living room. “Hey.. Ready.” I announced quietly walking into the room. I stood in front of him, the tv wasn’t on or anything, he was just sitting there. “Gosh, you take forever.” He smiled and got up. “What? That was like the quickest ever.” I defended. “Of course it was.” He smirked at me. “You might wanna get a coat on, or a sweatshirt, whatever you call it.” He added as we walked towards the door. “Good call. I’ll go get one.” I walked away from him and back to my room.

Sorry I haven't been writing to much the past couple of days..
My grandmother's in the hospital for various reasons
& I haven't been in the best mood because of that.
And on top of all the stress from that, I've had a ridculous amount of homework.
I'm sorry & I'll be writing again really, really, soon.
    xoxo
