for the first time
chapter 14
Kameron’s POV:
I took one last look in the mirror and sighed. My make-up had been ruined, but I cleaned it up the best I could before walking out of the gas station bathroom and over to Andrew's car.
"All better?" He asked as I climbed into the front seat.
I nodded, "Thanks for stopping. I know my make-up looked a mess."
"You never look like a mess. Never." He whispered.
I smiled at him, "So now that I've cried and ruined your shirt, care to share what you have planned for us tonight?"
"No, it's still a suprise. But we ought to get going. We don't want to be late."
I pretended to sigh and he chuckled. "Just be patient. It's worth the anticipation, I promise." He said while turining the radio on low for background noise.
A few minutes later, he pulled off the main highway and onto a narrow dirt road, just wide enough for his mustang to pass through.
"Okay seriously, where are we going?" I asked perplexed.
He laughed, "Wait 5 minutes and you'll see."
I sighed and glanced at the clock.
After ten minutes on that road, we came up to a gate with a sign saying that the road was closed from that point forward.
Andrew killed the ignition and climbed out of the car, jogging around the front to open my door.
"What? This is where you're taking me?" I said stunned.
He sighed, "Will you please get out of the car? I promised you a good time, didn't I?"
I shook my head but stepped out of the car. He took my hand and locked the car. "C'mon. It's this way." He whispered, suddenly speaking quietly.
The dark, tall trees surrounding us made everything seem scarier and I pressed myself against Andrew's sighed. He smiled and looked down at me, but didn't say a thing.
About 100 yard into the little forest, I began to hear the rush of water although it sounded somewhat distant.
"Okay. We're here." He announced quietly.
"That's great...where is "here" exactly?" I said.
"Shhh," he said, "don't be too loud."
I looked at him puzzeled, but he then remembered he couldn't see my face in the darkness.
"Andrew-" I started.
"It's going to start," he said glancing at his watch, "here, sit down."
He helped me sit down on something that left my feet dangling off the edge and sat next to me.
The sound of water suddenly became more distinct and I tried desperatly to see through the darkness.
But a second later, I didn't have to try.
All at once, everything suddenly became clear.
Author's Note: I'm so sorry I haven't posted in such a long time. Life's been pretty rough lately, I'm in a huge fight with my best guy friend and my other best friend totally took his side. People can be ridiculous! But oh well, at least things are going good for Andrew & Kam! More chapters will be up today to make up for lost time, promise <3
