Camp Life
Chapter 1 (Alyssa's point of view.)
The soft sound of birds outside my widow woke me up this morning. Who am I kidding? I couldn't sleep. Today is the day I have been waiting for all year. It only last for one week though so I must make it count. But first I have to decide what to pack. Gotta look my best. Okay, 6 tank tops, 6 pairs of shorts, 3 sweat shirts, 3 t-shirts, 6 pairs of socks, tennis shoes, 2 pairs of flip flops, two pairs of jeans, and some under clothes. Now where is my bag?
"Mom! Do you know where my suite case is?"
"I don't know for sure, but check in the attic."
I walk into my attic. Wow. There is so much stuff up here. Who cleans this anyways? I trip over. What the heck is this? Who knows with all of the junk up here is? I grap the box that I tripped over. It had pictures in it. What can this be of?
Oh my gosh. It is from camp. There is Katlyn, Emily, Caden, Gavin and I in it. Gavin. His hair looks like sunshine in the morning sun. His eyes the color of the ocean. I can't wait to see him. What if he doesn't remember me? What if he isn't even going to camp this year? What if he got in an accident and died? Snap out of it I tell myself. I have no reason to worry. Worrying about it will only make this worse. I have to make this special. We are both 14 now. He probably has a girlfriend and doesn't even think about me often. I think about him every day though. What am I saying? We have beens best friends since we were 7. Why am I even worrying about anything? This happens every year. I don't know. last year on the last day of camp we got super close. I don't know what to do now.
