Hey everyone,
A boy at my school commited suicide this morning. I didn't know him, but so many of my friends did. He was a popular boy I think, with a lot of friends, good grades. And he was an amazing athlete. Watching my friends break down and cry today, it killed me inside. The entire school was in tears. We think he was bullied. I mean, servely. I don't understand why he would take his own life instead of trying to get help or talk to someone. It just goes to show the effects bullying can have on people. I didn't know this boy, but I hope he is safe. And I hope everyone who reads this realizes that bullying hurts. Think about what you say before you say it and think how you would feel if someone said it to you. Would it drive you to take your own life away? To cause so many people that love you a kind of grief that never fades, never goes away?
Rest in peace Shane. Gone, but never, ever forgotten.
