    ChapterSix
I went to school regularly on Tuesday. Everyone kept staring at me in the halls and when I showed up, it all went quiet. All I heard were whispers. The teachers wouldn't call on me in class. Everyone complimented on my hair, clothes, shoes, etc. I had to admit, I kindof like this attention.
My dad's funeral was that next Monday. I stood up when it was my turn for the speech. Everyone looked up at me. "Victor Demben will be remembered for being a great man. A generous man. A respectful man. A helpful man. A caring man. Okay, we get it. One heck of a man. The man I see when I see the picture, is not any of these common words. The word I think of when I see his picture is the best. The best father in the history of the world. No offense to any fathers out there, but you didn't have Victor as your dad. Only I had him, and now I obviously don't. No words can describe how much I will miss him." I walked back into my seat while everyone gave me a quiet applause. The priest came back and said a few more words. Chelsea and I were dropped off at my house because I couldn't watch the burial.
I got a text from Brett. And Spencer. At the same time. Spencer said, 'hey angie. i'm sorry bout yer dad. jessica says hi.' I tsked at how pathetic that was. So i texted back 'k jackass.' I showed Chelsea and we had a good laugh about it. I almost forgot that Brett had texted me too. 'hey lina.<3 im still sorry about your dad and it was my fault for keeping you at dq for so long. i hope the funeral went ok. i miss you so much and hope we can still hang sometimes. i never stopped loving you. -brett'

    ChapterFive
I cried all that night. God, why him? Why did you have to take him from me? He was the only guy I could count on. He was such a good man. He donated $5,000 every holiday like Thanksgiving and Christmas to give to unfortunate people. I don't understand why God need him so soon.
I don't remember how I got home, but I did. I woke up in my bed, with Chelsea watching the tv in my room on my couch. I said, "Chels." She turned around and said, "Oops, sorry. Was the tv too loud?" I said, "Nah. But I had the weirdest dream. My dad had a heart attack and died. Ha ha. Weird huh?" She looked akward. I already knew the truth, but I was just checking to make sure this was reality. She wasn't answering, so I said, "It's okay. You don't need to answer, I already know he's dead." She stood up and walked up to me and hugged me. "Thanks. Now get out of my room. I have a lot of things to do."

sorry its so short. my parents just got home!

    ChapterFour
Sitting in the hospital waiting room is never fun. It was me, Chelsea, and my mom. We had been sitting there for four hours and hadn't heard anything about my dad's condition. I was pretty sure they'd come out to tell us if he died, so I hope he's still alive.
I kept looking at an Asian family across the waiting room. Whenever I looked at them, I got an uneasy feeling. Almost like something bad was going to happen to them. There were four of them. One man who looked about 80, a man and woman about 40 holding hands, and a woman who looked about 60 maybe. That feeling was not good at all.
At six o'clock, we finally decided to go to the cafeteria to eat. I wasn't hungry at all, though. I was way too nervous to be hungry. While Chelsea and my mom were eating, I excused myself to go to the bathroom. On my way there, I saw the doctor approaching an Asian family who had been waiting in the waiting room longer the we had. I stopped to watch. I couldn't hear the doctor, but I could tell what he said. The four fell back in their chair and cried. I walked over to them without even thinking and said, "I'm so very sorry for your loss." They all looked at me with the tears in their eyes and I couldn't hold it in anymore.

    ChapterThree
At Dairy Queen, Chelsea and I were about to order blizzards when someone came up from behind me and tapped me on the shoulder. I turned around. I saw Brett, my old boyfriend, who I had dated through all of 6th and 7th grade. "Brett!" I gave him a hug. He hugged back and said, "Lina! I've missed you so much. How've you been, darling?" I sighed, "Alright." Then I mumbled 'just got dumped, but alright.'
Brett had moved to Hemswurth, where my dad lived, during the summer after 7th grade. He only broke up with me to help me get over it easier, but it didn't work. Then Spencer came to town. He made me forget all about Brett. This was the first time I've seen Brett in almost 2 years.
We spent two hours talking in the booth. I think I had like 6 blizzards, but it's okay. Poor Chelsea, she had to sit their with us the whole time. Me and Brett plan to hang out every Sunday, which makes me really happy.
When we got back to the house I called out, "Dad! Sorry we took so long but we're home now! And I brought you back a blizzard!" I heard no response. We took off our shoes and walked into the living room, where he usually is. I called out, "Dad!? Where are you?" I looked in the kitchen, dining room, my room, and his room. I heard Chelsea scream from the his bedroom. "OH MY GOD! ANGELINA CALL 911!"

    ChapterTwo
"Ummm. No. What are you talking about?" I asked. She said, "Well it's all over. Everyone's been talking about it. And now his Facebook says he's dating Jessica." Holy shitt. "Are you fu- serious?" I pulled out my enV 3 and texted Spencer. It said: 'hi. are we over.?' About 25 minutes later, when we got to my dad's house he texted me back. It said "ya." I burst out in tears and ran into my room. Chelsea ran after me and knocked on the door. I didn't want to let her in. After five minutes, I heard my dad's voice say, "Angie. I'm sorry for what he did, but you need to come out." I screamed no. I was devastated.
Jessica. Jessica Lomar. She was like my arch enemy ever since preschool when she took glue and spilled it all over my chair. After sitting in that chair for an hour, it tore the butt of my pants off... Without me noticing. For the next two years I was called 'kitty undies' because that's what I was wearing. Why Jessica? Sure, she's the prettiest girl in school with her long tan body, dark brown hair, and bright blue eyes; but she's a bitchh. Always has and always will.
It was a couple hours before I unlocked the door.I had cried myself to sleep and taken a nap. Chelsea had been waiting there the whole time and ran to me and hugged me. She took me by the hand and said "C'mon hun, we're going to Dairy Queen."

    ChapterOne
"Angelina!" I jumped up. I turned to my clock which said that is was 9:20 am. It was a Sunday, so I was getting picked up by my dad at 10. I only go to spend Sundays and Mondays with him, which was a total bummer. He lived about a half hour away. I opened up my phone and I realized it was on silent. I had two new messages. One from my best friend Chelsea, and one from my boyfriend, Spencer. Chelsea said: 'hey, can i come with you to your dad's pleasee?'
I replied 'sure, pick you up at 10.' I knew my dad wouldn't mind. Spencer texted me: 'Hey, good morning.' I quickly texted back: 'hey love, good morning.<3'
I dashed across the hall to the bathroom. I took a 15 minute shower and got dressed in a white Hollister t-shirt and Old Navy jeans. I opened up my closet and found my North Face jacket and Bearpaw boots. I put them on and found my sleepover bag that I used for my dad's house. I threw in some undies, a pair of Aero jeans, a white cami, and a light purple sweater. I flipped open my phone and saw that it was 9:55. "Angelina!" I heard my mom yell. "Coming!" I yelled back.
When I got downstairs, I saw my dad waiting at the kitchen table. "Hey kiddo!
How have you been?" He asked. I said, "Good, how about you?" "Alright." I said, "Cool, so is it okay if we pick up Chels?" He said, "Yep, 'course."
My parents got divorced 3 years ago, when I was 11. I still find it hard to deal with. Chelsea's parents got divorced when she was 5, but got back together when she was 9. I hope my parents get back together, but that won't happen. You see, my dad cheated on my mom. With a 21 years old. For 5 months. Yeah. Not cool.
We picked Chelsea up at her huge house. She has 5 siblings, so it has to be big. She has two brothers, Davis and Trevor. She has three sisters, Casey, Danielle, and Tiffany.I wish I had a sibling. All I've had that are like siblings are cats. Hairless creepy ones. My mom's allergic to fur, so that's all I can have. When I first saw Chelsea, she ran to the car and opened the door. She tried to hug me from the back seat. She said, "Angie, I'm soo sorry!" I asked, "Ummm. Why?"She looked at me like she was confused. "Spencer. Broke up with you. Right...?"
