Rosabelle
Chapter One
Positive.
I threw the thin stick to the ground, and glared at the plus sign on it.
After a few seconds, I finally took my eyes off it and took a third one out.
And tried again.
Looking at it, I'm left with the same result.
"No!" I screamed out in frustration.
"No! No! No!"
I screamed as loud as I could, tugging at my hair.
I knew my parents couldn't hear me over their shouts.
I knew they wouldn't stop to listen.
And I knew they'd be too busy arguing to waste a second
of their lives to support me.
"Harmy?"
My head snapped towards the bathroom door.
I breathed out slowly.
"Yeah?" I called out hoarsely to my younger brother.
"Are you okay?" He whispered through the crack of the door.
I let out a choked sob.
"Yup."
"Why were you screaming?"
I sighed. "I'm okay, Grayson. Just- just go."
Silence.
And then I could hear him quietly walk away.
He didn't need to see me like this.
I slumped against a wall, sliding down it slowly
until I was sat on the ground.
The tears slid down my cheeks freely now, not once stopping.
I couldn't think of any pros of the situation at the moment.
Suddenly, a thought hit me.
I needed to tell him.
I dug my cell phone out of my pocket, punching his number in.
Settling the phone at my ear, my eyes slid closed.
"Hi."
I jumped a bit.
"Noah-"
"I'm not here at the moment, so leave a message, or don't,"
I sighed, re-playing his husky voice in my head.
That was the rough voice I fell for.
The one that drowned with sweet words, making me melt.
It was the voice that lead to my actions, our actions.
That concluded with my pregnancy.
I had to see him.
He needed to know.
