    Our Story
    Chapter 3
Later that day, I had study hall with Katie and Jacob. When we study, we sit at a lab table in the science room and usually talk. But this time, Katie needed a band lesson so it was only Jacob and I. Ironically; we both pulled out our algebra books and started working on the assignment. Of course, we have that class together too. We sat there in silence. I couldn’t concentrate on the assignment because I was too busy thinking about what to say to you next. He literally took my breath away. He finally broke the silence by asking “How do you do number 16?” I looked at him dumbfounded. I didn’t say anything, and just looked at him. He asked “Is there something on my face?” He started rubbing his face and I couldn’t resist I started laughing hysterically. He didn’t know what was wrong with me, so he just smiled and chuckled quietly. It got quiet again so you re-asked your question. This time I knew what to say. I replied “No, sorry. I’m not that far yet. But hey, why don’t we just close our books and just talk? How was your summer? Do anything fun?” Jacob agreed and closed his book and began talking. He talked about baseball and how much fun he had on his family vacations. I nodded here and there to appear like I was listening, when in reality I was too busy looking into his deep brown eyes. He started laughing so I did too. We probably looked ridiculous, but we kept laughing for reasons I don’t know. He finally asked me about my summer. I talked about camping and family stuff. He nodded and looked uninterested. The bell was about to ring, but I wanted to keep talking and I wanted to get to know him better. I asked him if he had a cell phone, and he replied “Yeah, c’mon Sara, who doesn’t have a cell phone?” I blushed and apologized for asking my stupid question. He said that we should text tonight. I pretended to be calm but inside I was going crazy! Jacob and I might actually have something, something real.

    Our Story
    Chapter 2
It was one of the most dreaded days in gym class. We had to run the mile. I turned to Katie and once again sighed and said,
“Do we really have to do this?”
“Yeah, I suppose we do.” Katie said.
“Should we cheat again? Like we did all those other times?”
Katie laughed and replied “Sure, why not.”
Katie and I struggled while running the mile, but sooner or later we finished with a solid time of 9.59. Katie turned to me and said “Hmmm, I wonder what time we really could have if we tried?” I laughed and replied “Probably a lot better, since we’re both pretty athletic.” She agreed and we sat down. In our school, once we’re down running the mile we can play games such as, basketball or football. Jacob was playing football in the center of the basketball court. I found myself staring at him for no reason. I look at Katie and she’s doing the same thing. I hit her leg softly and she yells out a yelp. “Hey! What was that for?”
    “You’re staring at Jacob too?”
She shyly smiled and said “Yeah, I guess I am. Wow, I never really looked at him until now.”
I agreed. Jacob lost a lot of baby fat, and his face didn’t look so round. His brown hair was now longer, and it fit his face a lot better. His body was perfect. His arms were now chiseled and defined. His legs were masculine and strong. He looked like a God.
“When did Jacob change?” Katie asked.
I have no idea, I thought to myself.
“I have no idea, I finally said it out loud, but, I have to say he’s looking good!”
Katie slapped my arm and said “Wow, Sara, you’re funny! Wait, I know that look! You like him!”
I started to feel my blood rush to my cheeks, I knew I was blushing. I quickly covered and said “No I don’t, I don’t even know him.”
“Well you could know him. I mean, I weight lift with him at Al’s every other day. I could so hook you guys up!” Katie said.
“I don’t know Katie. He probably isn’t even interested in me. I’ll just go with flow.”
“Whatever you say Sara, just don’t let an opportunity pass you by.”
I kept staring at Jacob, and I knew I couldn’t let him pass by me. I needed to do something, talk to him, text him, anything. The bell rang and I watched Jacob walk out the gym doors and with him, he took my heart.

    Our Story
    Chapter 1
When I first met Jacob, we were in fifth grade and just starting middle school. We didn’t have any classes together, but I always knew he was one of the nice guys. Fifth grade came and went in a blink of an eye, and soon enough Jacob and I were in sixth grade. Still, I barely knew him. I only saw him as a guy in my grade and no real chance of being friends. By now, we were just getting into our awkward stages. I had bangs and wore baggy clothes. He had a round face with really short hair. Let’s just say we stuck out. Jacob and I always had our own group of friends, and they got together sometimes. We pretty much sat together at lunch everyday but yet I still didn’t give him the real chance to be anything. He was just another awkward boy, and to him, I was just another awkward girl. This feeling we had for each other followed us until we were in eighth grade. Finally, we got over our awkward stage, and looked half ways decent. This year, we had homeroom together, and pretty much all the classes too. I know for a fact we had gym together, because that’s where our story begins.
