Chapter One
***The Next Day
I woke up usual time, but today I was in such a rush, I couldn’t wait to tell my friends, Crystal, Melanie, Jayden, Kendall, Tammy, Marissa, and Lily, who my new crush was. I also had to rush because I never wore makeup so I was going to try for my new guy. I was ready to leave twenty minutes early, so to have time fly by I went on facebook and to my surprise he was online along with half of the freshman class (so pretty much everyone accept my friends), which made me burst out hysterically laughing.
This was when my mom asked me with a confused look, “What the hell are you doing?” I answered her with, “Melanie sent me a link of a funny softball picture of her.” Then she just nodded her head and went back to curling her hair.
Five minutes later she came downstairs and we left to drop me off at my stop which was by my local public high school, the one that my parents refused to send me to due to the kids in my town being arrested all the time so I went to a catholic school that was about a hour away from my stop.
When the bus pulled up and I got out of my car, Aiden and his friend, Carter, where getting out of theirs too. There are only ten kids on my bus total, five at my stop and five at the other stop and the worst part is that there are no girls on my bus, so that plays another role on how Aiden and I met. In the morning Aiden and I don’t talk much because we usually sleep, while listening to our iPods and then one of us will get the other up when we get close to school.
When we get to school I find my friends in the cafeteria at our normal table, Lily spots me and waves me over frantically. Jayden locked a tight grip around my wrist and gave me an excited look and practically screamed “Who is it? Lily showed us the text, so who is who do you like?”
I had the largest smile on my face as did my friends and then said in a soft tone so that no one around us could hear “I think I’m falling for, Aiden.” My friends looked at me in disbelief.
Then Crystal, Lily’s twin sister, said “Why the hell do you like him? I mean seriously Riley, Lily chose Jimmy Neutron over him. We all know what a player he is and again why do you like him again?” My friends nodded their head in agreement with Crystal’s questions and some laughed at the comment about Jimmy Neutron.
I laughed and said calmly, “Your sister was an idiot for picking Jimmy Neutron over him and I like him because I’ve really been able to get to know him and he is really a great guy he is nice and o.m.g. is he funny.”
My friends were happy to see me happy but a couple were still very skeptical of him as I could see, we started talking about what we were going to wear to homecoming. Then the bell rang and we went off to our lockers and started our day in school. Oh and f.y.i. I hate Mondays.
