Winter Kisses

Soft, silky sheets rub against me as I stretch across my bed. It was December 1st, a Saturday, and the house was cold and quiet; it was peaceful.
I sat up, then out of no where, "BING, BANG, BOOOOOM!" It was Slade and his damn drums! "SLADE! STFU, Gosh!" I yelled from across the hall. "Sorry Brooke, just testin' them out, ya know?" He replied. "Yea yea, haha whatever." I walked to the bathroom to take a quick shower then hurried down stairs to help Kate a.k.a Mother. When I got dowstairs, she was walking through the front door with atleast five boxes in her hands and she was ready to drop them all. I ran toward her just in enough time and grabbed a box.
"Thanks sweetie, I was just unloading the rest of the boxes, it's time we get settled in. Oh and I almost forgot.. ya'll do start school tomorrow, thank GOD."
"HA, yes. Thank GOD. Wow Mom, you can sound a little less excited dontcha think?"
"I'm sorry, but It's a new start, new people, a new begining Brooke, maybe you should try and be a little happy yourself, besides remember what I promised. I'll be opening up that club soon, and guess whose going to be my new bartender?! You!"
"Great Mom, I'm so excited."
Me and my mother are nothing alike. She's almost always in a good mood.. but that's only because of the alcohol, and now she's opening up a club; Yay. See me, my brother Slade, and my mom, Kate just moved here, here as in Conneticut, from Utah. Big change. Big move. I am not at all happy about, and here's a couple of reasons why; 1.) I'm not a people person. 2.) I hate going to school, especially a new school. 3.) My bestfriend is my brother, I usually hang out with him and his friends, but since he has no friends over here it's going to be a problem.
