theyre there i guess. im not in recovery, so its not the worst trigger, but if my shorts slip up or something i crave the blade. i can cover them with makeup easily, theyre really not hard once the scabbing heals. but like i said. theyre there. for a while. for forever. always going to be a part of me, so i might as well get used to em now.

i had a horrible dream yesterday yall.
so i was grocery shopping with my sister and dad.
and suddenly, i passed out. i could hear them talking around me,
but i couldnt open my eyes or respond to them.
then i heard a gasp. and my sister started crying.
and then i realized that my scars had become visible.
    i woke up screaming.
all day today i have been super paranoid to keep long sleeves and pants on.

after care. trying so hard not to pick at scabs. or slid a knife through day old cuts.
clean up. all the blood. seeing all of the damage i acutally did was so... idk, wahts the word, like reality checking? not right wording, oh well. in the moment, you dont care about seeing your white sheets stained, or the blood drip onto your carpet. all you care about is the control. being able to control how much pain you feel. and you know why youre feeling that pain. but when the act is over, and you look at the mess youve made, you just... shocking.
    hiding it. enough said.

pfft, yeah. i think anyone is addicted. self harm is an addiction, just as bad as drugs or alcohol. a few weeks ago - god this is so stupid - i saw some stupid picture of a friend on facebook and she had those tally marks all over her from dr who, and it was so triggering. the tally marks looked so much like cuts, and i had a sharpener right next to me. i just caved. i cant explain the rush you get from it. my favorite part is when you cut so deep the white underflesh shows. and there for a few minutes it just is white, and then the red bubbles to the surface and you see it all gather in a line, and then it slowly starts to trickle down your leg and youre left with a streak of red. i just... i crave it. all the time. i crave the cold metal. i crave the sharp pain. i crave the smell of blood being released into the air.... im sorry, i have to stop, super triggering.
