then just make sure not to lead him on. you sound just like i did back then. it is not a case of running away from him that will just make him feel bad it is a case of letting him go if he needs to. let him know how much you value him as a friend i can garunty what he wants most is for you to just be happy.

i was in this exact same position wow 6 years ago. me and him are still really close friends and he even set me up with one of his friends. this is after YEARS though. don't date him because everyone tells you too cause if the feelings aren't there you will break up and lose a really good friend. it will be hard but i am sure you can get through it. only advice might be give him some space for a while or be very careful to make sure you are not leading him on. honesty is really important here

I know, I know. And I try to give him space but he refuses. He says: "We're best friends. we've spent everday school day together. just because i told you something doens't mean i'm not going to be around. we're best friends. alright? i'm not loosing that." and im like.. "i don't want to hurt you more" :(

thanks but i really think i came out better because of it. i am stronger, and i know who my true friends are. one of the things i learnt is that it is how you look at things changes how they make you feel. when everyone parted for me as i walked down the hall i just imagined myself as a princess :P all of a sudden it was a complement

i was bullied all through primary school. in year 4 my swimming costume was even cut up when we had swimming lessons. eventually it got to the stage where i would walk down the corrodor and everyone would form a 2m bubble around me to say it didn't hurt would be a lie but i do truly believe it made me stronger. but it did effect my self esteem to the point i was stuck in a simmilar position when i went to high school i made a few close friends but while i was not activly bullied i wasn't accepted into the main group either. now i have had another chance to start all over again at uni and am amazed at how i have changed. it is all in the mind but it is not the sort of thing that you can just forget.

lol i totally did this when i was younger. the guy had sent me an email saying he was going to do it and i hid on the oval all day :P. the difference is i had no feelings what so ever for this guy outside friendship sounds like you need to work out what you want and be upfront with him.

god tell someone. the only way these people keep the power is by making people scared to get help. if you can't do it for you think about everyone else he could be doing this to. no one has the right to lay a hand on you let alone do that much damage
