Writing is more than my passion.
I crave writing every day.
I can express my inner thoughts and feelings.
I write what I can't say.
I write because it's my one true love.
I write because I can.

    Falling in Love
    Chapter 2
Now this is where the story really begins. Lucas and I chatted for three hours. We talked about random things, such as which sports are the best, which singer has the most angelic voice, and what color dragons would be if they existed. For those three hours, a smile never left my face. It was almost midnight when I finally signed off. I felt butterflies fly around in my stomach as I flopped backwards onto my bed. I gave Lucas my number before shutting my computer off for the night, and deep in the pit of my stomach, I hoped that my phone would buzz. I think I could get used to living here.
The next morning, I woke up to my alarm buzzing in my ear. The time read 7:45. I dragged myself out of bed. I pulled myself downstairs to find my little brother Jeffery sitting in the island in the kitchen eating a bowl of Frosted Flakes. He was only six, but he was pretty tall for his age. His brown hair nearly covered his eyes as a smile appeared in his face. “Are you ready for my soccer game?” He yelled while springing out of his seat. I saw that he was already dressed in his uniform, and his soccer cleats were leaving black marks on the smooth wood floor. “Let me grab breakfast, and I will take you down.”
The soccer field was right down the street. My mom signed him up prior to us moving here. She always said, “Friends are fun. Go make some.” I was pretty sure she just wanted Jeffery and me out of the house most of the time. But hey, I didn’t mind. I watched Jeffery run straight for the field as he plowed through several mud puddles. He ran straight to his coach. “I am ready to play,” I heard his voice ring from across the field. The coach gave him a small pat on the back, and Jeffery never seemed so happy. I took a seat in the grass even though it was still covered with dew from the early morning. I leaned my back against a cool steel fence. I wrapped my hoodie tightly around me as the referee blew his whistle. That game had just begun. I watched as the little kids ran around the field without a care in the world. They were all so young and so innocent. I smiled as I watched my little brother chase after the ball with a large smile on his face the whole time.
“Hey, do you understand this?” A deep southern voice asked me.
I glanced up from the game to see a tall brown haired boy standing next to me. He seemed to be a year or two older than me, and he had beautiful blue eyes. I just smiled as I glanced up to meet his eyes.
“This game?” I asked, finally snapping back to reality.
“Yeah. My little sister is playing, but I have no idea what is going on,” he said, letting a soft smile appear.
“It’s actually pretty simple when the kids are only six. Basically, they just chase the ball around the field and try to kick it in the nets,” I explained.
The boy nodded in approval. “Got it. Thank you,” he said, before slipping back into the crowd.
Even though I thought it was rather odd that such an attractive guy such as that would talk to me, I pushed it into the back of my mind. I simply continued to watch the game.

    Falling in Love
    Chapter 1
It’s not that I was searching. I was merely looking at the world in front of me. I’m not sure how, but I managed to do it. I found the guy of my dreams, and I wasn’t about to lose him. Losing him was not my biggest concern, it was finding him, and finding myself along the way. We both live in a little town where gossip travels faster than a wildfire. Until now, I wasn’t sure about the whole love thing. Now I’m just not sure if love in a small town can survive big dreams. Let’s start at the beginning. Once upon a time- wait, scratch that. This isn’t a fairly tale. This is real.
I tapped my fingers against my newly furnished desk. Could my laptop go any slower? It was this stupid connection. I just moved here, and my parents really didn’t get a chance to fix the wiring. I stared at the screen until it switched from black to blue. I logged on, and I typed in the web address for my new school. It was a Friday night, and I would be starting my new life at a new school next Monday morning. There was only a week left of summer, and I was stuck n this small town. I had to admit, I was a little excited. I used to go to Elmwood Prep. It was a private school for girls, and its best quality was drama. I’m not talking about acting; I am talking about the nasty rumors, prank phone calls, and the boyfriend stealing. It wasn’t my ideal school, so I was more than relieved to be here. I clicked on the student webpage and scrolled through all of the school announcements. My eyes gazed over all the activities. Then in the bottom right corner of the screen, I saw something that I never had seen before. It was a little chat room for any of the students that attended school there. I clicked on it, and I typed in my new school I.D. code. It seemed to take forever, but the chat room finally appeared. There was only one other name on the available chat list besides mine. It simply said Lucas.
    User Lucas: Hello?
    User Emily: Hi…
User Lucas: My name is Lucas if you couldn’t tell(:
User Emily: Haha, I bet you figured out that my name is Emily.
User Lucas: Nice to meet you(:

:)
