180-Pound Beauty
Chapter 1.
Sutton White could be beautiful.
She had gorgeous chestnut locks that reached her shoulder. Her hazel eyes could hypnotize anyone who gazed at them, and her heart-shaped face and bow-shaped lips were the envy of many. And let's not forget that button nose and fashion style that most celebrities would kill for.
There were just two problems; one, she weighed 180 pounds. And two, she didn't think she could ever be pretty. It was quite obvious. Her mother told her daily that she ruined "the White image", her classmates didn't do it in front of her (since her mom was the host of Celebrity Coffee, a talk show which only presented the most famous celebrities at the moment), but she was sure they laughed behind her back. And her crush, Frank Trent, would never lay his pretty blue eyes on her.
Which was the sole reason why she was running behind the school's most popular player, Evan Clark. She'd been shocked when he'd asked her to speak with her privately on the first day of school, and she was astonished when he proposed he'd help her be pretty if she tutored him in biology, a class he was failing while she was topping.
"Come on, Sutton!" he exclaimed, jogging quite ahead of her. "Just one more minute!"
Sutton was panting by now, feeling as if she could faint any moment now. But it was worth it. In the past five days, she'd already lost three pounds.
Evan came to a halt, turning around to smile at Sutton. "That's it for today, Sutton. Good job! See ya tomorrow?"
Sutton nodded, trying to fill in her lungs with air... a task which seemed impossible at the moment. Her legs felt as if they were made with titanium, and as if they wouldn't be able to take her home. But that's the feeling you get after an hour of jogging without breaks, right?
Evan gazed at Sutton, beginning to chuckle. "Actually, let me take you home."
Sutton smiled, nodding in relief. At least if she fainted, someone would be there to alert the hospital.
Never in a million years would she'd ever thought that Evan was beginning to get a crush on her. One, she was not the type he always hit on. And two, she was practically in love with his gentle and handsome best friend. But, oblivious to Sutton, he was developing that surprising crush. A big crush.
Oh, what a ride our Sutton is in for...

It's not a crime to be rich.
But when I see some people spending their money on unnecessary things (because that's what it is), when there are people who would be happy with one dollar, it really makes me feel sick.
