Please help me with the character's names if you don't like them! Amelia stares into the distant sunset, then a single tear turns up on her face. She slumps down and the tears freely run down her dress and into the bleach white sand. A hand slides over her shoulder blades and stops at her shoulder. In the distance she hears words, but they are just whispers. They sit there for what seems like hours, they she slips into a deep sleep. She wakes on a bed of the whitest sand, suddenly she remembers last night and tears flow like a faucet broken by a heart. Her breath comes in ragged gasps. She shudders and falls to the ground again. Then she hears a voice, blinking, she wonders who just said that. She turns and a scream escapes her open mouth. As the teenage girl screams, the mysterious person puts a hand over her mouth. She didn't struggle as the darkness seeped around her vision. Carefully, he scoops her up in his arms. Her limp body shuddered again and shallow breaths come and go. He kisses her softly on the forehead. He did that for her own good, he thinks. Then he leaves with the unconscious body. Her tired eyes flutter open. She rises with the scent of bacon and french toast stuck in her nostrils. Looking at her surrondings, she notices the beach and its bleach white sand mixing with the clear ocean. Memories begin to flood her mind, memories of tiny footprints on the sand as a baby, shell huntings, watching the waves, failed sufing lessons, and her first kiss. Yes, she remembers everything now, but one name keeps coming back to bite her, Jason. She also remembers his warm hand gliding across her shoulder blades, the comforting arm that has kept her safe since childhood. Without a second thought Amelia walks into the smells of the kitchen. The table was set only for her and Jason. He calmly and gracefully gets up and gets a chair out for her. In a daze, she sat down on the ground and tears bursted out. After she regained her thoughts, she took the seat Jason pulled out for her. They ate in silence, and when she was done with her meal, she got up, went to her room, and changed her clothes. She walked out to the beach and sat by the edge of the water. He did not know what to do, but at the same time, he did. When she went outside, Jason leaned on the window and sighed. He didn't know if she knew it. Nothing could change this fact, he loves her. He loves the girl who was all by herself in the world. Nothing could ever change the fact that he deeply loves her. After he thought those reassuring words to himself, he ambles outside. Please leave comments on this short story, suggestions, more parts of the story, anything else, and criticism is wanted too.
