Do you know what it feels like
When it becomes an addiction
Swallowing you whole
Without a conviction
After the first time
You're really confused
Sunk in your thoughts
Not easily amused
You think it's a release
Whilst it really eats you whole

You look to others
In hope of signs
That you're not alone
But you paint more lines
You see no one like you
A loser or a freak

With such creativity
You don't just paint on canvass
With a paint brush or pencil
You chose different equipment
Like your flesh and a razor
Looking for self-harm
On others left to right
Just so you're not alone
But no other cuts insight
Everyone else seems to smile
It's not a fake
You could spot for a mile
Instead you stay, alone all day
You're friends have no clue
They would never understand
They're so innocent
Their boyfriends in hand
No one would love you
But no one would know
Not even your parents
Just tie up your bow
Your school full of posh
At home full of thoughts
