Friends Are Forever 2
"This is where we're living?" I ask, with wide eyes. I was in the new car my father had bougt, staring at a rather large brick house in front of me.
"Yes. Do you like it, girls?" My dad asks, a small smile on his face.
"Uh, yeah. It's huge!" Kaylee says, grinning like the Cheshire cat. I like cats...cute little fluffy cats and-
I must be really tired.
"This place is so pretty!" I exclaim, looking towards the two balconies on each side of the house.
"Glad you like it as much as you father and I do." My mom says, giving me a large smile. I turn to look over at Kaylee, who was tying her brown-ish blond-ish hair up in a messy bun.
"So, girls. Which room do you want, left or right?" My dad asks, looking between us two. I look over to see Kaylee's bright blue eyes staring into mine.
"I CALL RIGHT!" She says, before I can. I groan and look over at her with a pained expression.
"You got to choose last time!" I say, glaring at her. She smiles at me angelically.
"Well I'm older."
"Well I'm smarter."
"Well I'm cooler."
"Well you're blonder." I say, pointing to her highlights, and then gesturing towards my almost black hair. She scoffs.
"Whatever. I still get the room on the right." She smirks at me.
"Well we both have balconies, so I don't really care all that much." I say, turning to look at my parents. They bost had wildly amused expressions on their faces.
"And before we go in, one last thing." My mom digs through her bag before pulling out two square boxes. She hands one to each of us. I quickly unwrap mine and look over at Kaylee, who had the same shocked expression on her face.
"You got us iPhones?!" I say, clutching the box to my chest, as if it were a child.
"Not just iPhones, you idiot! The newest iPhone!" Kaylee says, jumping up and down.
"Thank you so much!" I lean forward in my seat, unbuckling my seat belt, and hugging my parents.
"Glad you like them. Now, lets go look at our new house!" My mom says, grinning at the two of us. I nod quickly and open my door. I get up out of my seat and look between my family and the beautiful red-brick house in front of us. I smile at my mom, who actually had tears in her eyes. What an emotional woman...
"I love it!" Kaylee says, a look of pure joy on her face. Suddenly, a shout echoes from the house next to ours.
"Hey!" A girl runs out of the house, another following behind her shortly.
"You're moving in here, right?" She asks, her question pointed mostly towards me and Kaylee.
"Yep. And I suppose you live there." I say, pointing to the house similar to mine.
"Yes! It's so nice to meet you, I'm Caiti." Says the blond girl, smiling at Kaylee and I.
"Oh! And this is Rachel." She says, pointing towards the girl next to her. I smile at both of them.
"Are you two sisters or-"
"Oh God, no! I live about 10 minutes away from here, we're just good friends." Rachel says, pointing Caiti in the side.
"Oh cool! What school do you go to?" Kaylee asks, pushing a strand of hair away from her face.
"St. Richards boarding school. We're just on break." Says Caiti. She definitely seems like the louder, mor outgoing of the two girls.
"Oh, really? We're going there after break! What grade are you in?" Kaylee asks, a smile lighting up her whole face.
"We're both in 9th grade. But, it doesn't really matter what grade you're in, if you're between 8th and 10th grade, you'll have most of the same classes with grades higher and lower." Caiti explains, smiling at us.
"That's good. I'm in 9th too, and Kaylee's in 10th." I point over to my sister.
"Oh, I forgot! Our names! I'm Ari and this is Kaylee!" I point between the two of us, smiling.
"Okay! Well, we have to go help my mum clean up for dinner, but we'll see you two soon, yeah?" She says, her British accent sounding light and chirpy.
"Sure! Bye!" I smile watching as they run back to Caiti's house.
"They seem nice!" My mom comments, nodding her head in approval.
"They do!" My dad agrees. I smile at them, before heading in, my bag in my hands. I travel up the large wooden staircase and into the room on the left. It had pale blue walls, a large walk-in closet and the floor had a blue carpet on it.
"Pretty..." I whisper to myself, nodding my head in approval. I get out my laptop and sit down on the carpet, my back against the wall. I check my email, skipping through all the ones from my friends, deciding to answer those later.
I look through my inbox, an email catching my eye.
'St. Richards Boarding School.'
It read, in large bold letters. I click on it, and skim over the words.
"KAYLEE!" I call out, before hearing her footsteps pound on the stairs.
"What?" She says, opening my door and coming into my room, sitting down next to me.
"I found out who my roomates are." I say, looking at the email.
"Oh really? Who?" She asks, nodding towards the laptop.
"Three girls named Madi, Andi and Britney."
